If someone insults a nerd's favorite game, the nerd just goes onto a forum and rants about it, where they can call that person numerous bad names on their MySpace blog page. Some of the nerds fel the urge to act upon it right then and there. Most of those nerds are smart enough not to act upon that urge, because they are usually defenseless, since they probably don't have their gamecube to smash the person's head open with.

Well, if a book was insulted, then the fan of the book would probably ignore it, as they are usually smarter and wouldn't be stupid. They could if they wanted to, seeing as their Harry Potter 20-pounder could probably beat off some shit, but a book-fan is an intellectual, and will usually understand another's opinion.

tl;dr= Nerds are rageful, but don't stand a chance acting on it. Bookworms could act on it, but don't want to.

 I’m walking to the cafeteria at lunch and I stop in the bathroom to fix my hair and there’s a girl smoking in there. She sees my arm, grabs it, and jabs her lit cigarette into my arm. It hurt like shit (and it still does). And yes, I did report her.
  Fans broke this student’s arm:
     The books were fucking stupid.
 I told this to my friend, who agreed with me. But there was this girl in our class named Louisa who is a total twitard that overheard us talking. She argued with me and when she couldn’t force me to love the book, she stormed off.
 When I was walking home from school, Louisa and her friends jumped me. Three of them held me down, while Louisa (whose heavy-set) jammed her knee into my arm and pulled on it until it snapped. They ran off when a woman came out of house yelling at them that she had called the cops.
 They shattered my arm in two places. The doctor said it could take over a year before I get back full usage of my left arm.

I read the twilight series... only took a couple days, it was very light reading.

It was a terribly predictable series, the second book was crap... The fourth made up for it... And sure I enjoyed it... I wouldn't watch the movie, cause it looks shitty... But I enjoyed the little books.

I read The Host as well (written by the same chick, about aliens), but it wasn't nearly as entertaining.

But... damn, this is ridiculous...

When I was getting my car inspected, i saw this 40 year old fat woman reading Twilight and talking to the secretary about it, trying to explain the plot. She went on about how Edward is "dead" and "has superpowers" and "can read girls' minds" and all this other stupid fuss.

One of the threads on that forum linked to a thread on a Twilight fan forum that linked back to the Twilight Sucks forum. It was funny, because all of the Twitard had a firm believe that if you disliked Twilight, you spent your entire day hating it and did nothing else.

I've seen some posters over here but i don't think it's a big deal really... i don't think there's anything that's universally liked among Dutch kids/teens these day (that's what makes it a difficult group for marketeers, which im supposed to be..). Well they are all wet for "talent" show programs like idols, xfactor and dancing gayness but i think that's about it.. for the first time in years no annoying real life soap, no extremely popular boyband and no idolizing of a single movie star. Yay for individuality!

Also i haven't seen Twilight but i have seen The Messengers and that chick is pretty hot.

My girlfriend is reading through this series at the moment. I don't really mind it except that she ignores me for it. And everytime I look at what she's reading I usually read something like this "I'm hopelessly nervous around because I like you so much, detail about vampire guy and a little sense of being afraid around vampire guy to make the main character look like a leaky puppy." I'm pretty sure this is all the book is.
