Getting the opportunity to draw some naked person
Quote from: CrustClock;1511131Getting the opportunity to draw some naked person
Did you sign up for a class that meets a few times a week?
And if there's no naked person around, just draw people you see in the mall or somewhere.

What, like follow them around with a pad?
You can draw people you see on the internets...KNOW WHAT I MEAN?
Quote from: CrustClock;1511137What, like follow them around with a pad?
Yes, or sit down somewhere and watch people when they stop walking.

A sketchbook would be better.

or learn to draw fast enough that you can draw them while they are walking

Gesture drawings woot!

Doesn't work that way.
I tried going to the "mall". Got 2 drawings. They were pretty shit and I was worried people were watching me. Next time, I think I might go with someone else for moral support :)

I love posemaniacs
bring sunglasses when you're drawing people in public
the train station is excellent because people stand still or sit down but don't have enough time to wonder why you're looking at them and see your shitty drawings
First image reminds me of a scary pornographic version of "take on me"
You're good at drawing dicks
lol
No but seriously, these are great drawings!

You've got to be quick! Don't fuss over you're drawings, it doesn't matter how good they are it's just practice. The more you do it the faster you'll get better at drawing (and at not caring if people see you drawing them). But yeah going with someone else is a good idea if you're feeling a bit self-conscious.

Yeah, I think I might go again sometime soon. I MIGHT take sunglasses, but then my drawings will be weirdly contrasted when I take them off I think. And yeah, I need to not worry about details and stuff at first, just getting the overall shape and form first right?

Color-wise, perhaps, but your eyes will have adjusted to the range of light if you've been wearing them all morning before then.
As for details, try and keep them as detailless as possible. Details break up the lines and cover up your mistakes, keeping you from noticing them and improving upon them.
any tips on drawing, accurately people's faces? Where to start off on the face etc

I got a lot better at drawing noses after I drew NoseClock 5,000 times, so that stands to exemplify the idea that if you isolate the features you will be able to notice a lot more of where you go wrong with them. Draw body parts as if disembodied, and think about the outlines of one drawing rotating through space to a new angle to draw the body part from. That's how I discovered that a dog head is basically the same shape as a human head with high, sharp temples.
