Title: Oh fuck me.
Post by: Wind-up Clock on February 01, 2009, 12:18:17 AM
Sos i went and did something stupid on the computer again. One click on a pop up, and BAM.

Avast is beeping and putting up trojan warnings left and right. After a scan and a restart, Windows automatic updates won't turn on and the system runs a bit sluggish. Now doing a thorough boot scan with Avast, but i'm bracing for the worst.

Anyone know why automatic updates turn off? And what is Getmodule36? And should i have two instances of rundll32 up on the task managed? Can i get my computer back to the way it was again?

About the updates, try checking the Control Panel and re-activating them, or doing them manually.
About the two processes running, I suggest you leave them be until you're sure about what they are.

well, automatic updates still won't turn on.

and i'm getting these weird pop-ups in firefox. they just come up out of the blue, even on this site.

And something about digeste.dll not being a walid windows image, and checking it against my windows installation diskette.

Well, the situation seems managable.

About the pop-ups, you have adware.

lol "digeste.dll" digested your OS is being eaten.

This is why you use NoScripts or a Linux distro. Are you running XP or Vista or what?
