religion was always meant to explain what could not be explained otherwise. take out all of the "miracles" in the bible such as making a blind man see or walking on water and then you get some decent lessons about how to be a good person. But not everyone utilizes the bible to spread the good word, their intentions aren't "pure" i guess you could say
