Title: Movies You Can See Over and Over Without Getting Tired of Them
Post by: SnakeClock on March 01, 2009, 05:34:27 PM
Most movies get tiresome after you watch them a few times, like the time I watched The Incredibles every day for a week after I got it on DVD, and now I absolutely can't stand it. But there are certain other movies that, no matter how many times you watch them, you want to see again. What are some of yours?

One of mine is Jurassic Park. It's just so clever and action-packed, especially because of the great performances of much of the cast (Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough, Wayne Knight), and I think it remains at the top of its class even after all these years. My VHS copy is wearing out, though; I'll have to find it on DVD soon. :p

Your tastes a very similar to mine. Of these the only ones I couldn't list for myself are the ones I haven't seen. Office Space was also the first one I thought of.

The Blues Brothers. It's a musical, it's a comedy, it's an action movie-- there's just so much to love about it.

Apollo 13.

You even knew what would happen before the movie started, but be damned if it doesn't keep you on the edge of your seat every time.

Pretty much anything kevin Smith, Labyrinth, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Snatch, How High, Friday, Day of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, Fido. Kind of wore myself out on Fight Club. I could probably watch Donnie Darko again at this point.

Ah yes, that's another one of mine. A Beautiful Mind is also one of them.

The Count of Monte Cristo is probably another one, but I haven't seen it in a while.

At least it wasn't as aggressively juvenile as 12. It felt sort of like it kept trying to live up to 11, but even that's more promising.

As for the Ocean's series, this is how it sums up for me.
11 was great.  12 I hate.  13 was good, but not nearly as good as 13.
