... You see someone get beat up!? I know calling the cops seems pretty obvious but what do you do in the meantime. Would you help out or just chicken out?

Because I saw a guy get beat up a few days ago and the guy doing the beating was covered in blood and I didn't want to get blood on me/chickened out

(his own blood btw so the beat-ee had broken his nose or something)

If it was me, i would've laughed a little and walked away.

Well I would use the grey lump in my skull to assess what was happening at the time and act accordingly, you can't just slap  responses on these things while in front of a computer monitor because there could be any dynamic to that kind of situation.

Usually I try to stop them, unless there's knives or fire arms involved. I've never rescued anybody from a beating. I'd like to think I would, though.

it was one of those 5 on 1 things where somebody's brother did something to somebody's dad or some shit so a bunch of pussies assembled together with rocks and sticks to beat up some other guy- typical idiotic gang shit.

as sean tells it, just as he had processed what was happening and decided to do something (against the urging of the person who was with him at the time), a balding shirtless skinny aging hippie who was jogging by and looked to be in his 50's or 60's appeared, screamed something to the effect of "We're all brothers here man!!" and ran over and broke up the fight. I salute you, shirtless hippie man... where ever you are. :salute:

ive seen a lot of real fights in high school, but they are always just between two fags and all they do is swing a little bit at eachother and then the fight gets broken up because so much attention is drawn to it by other students and everyone is a fag etc. on another note, idk if i could do anything to break up a fight because i'm not very strong or big, but if it was a friend or something i wouldn't hesitate to try and help despite what was going on

One time I was walking through a parking lot and two big scary guys yelled out THERE HE IS, FUCKER! and charged me. I stood ram rod stiff waiting to get pummeled for no reason, when they stopped 4 inches away from me, starred me down for 5 seconds and then laughed and walked away.

I have nightmares everynight and the poo stain is uncleanable.

I was beat up by 3 guys while going home a couple of weeks ago. They kicked me more than ten times in the head and body on cement. It sent me to the hospital and I had to go to therapy, and they only caught 1 guy, who will most likely get off with 90 days of boot camp and a permanent record of assault.
