I'm pretty sure that's only for changing your password. To change other stuff you only have to enter your existing password.

EDIT:: Oh shit, never mind, they let me change it without changing the password.

EDIT EDIT:: I see they also got rid of the whole forcing you to have numbers in your password.  Changes for the better, in my opinion.
