Title: Max Barry is amazing.

It's time you guys start reading his shit. Syrup was his best book in my opinion, but Company and Jennifer Government were also very enjoyable.

So what do you fellas think?

i didn't like Jenifer government as much but Company and Syrup were both great reads. He has anew book that is being released a page at a time on his website called Machine Man. Ivysaur keeps trying to get me to read it.

Jennifer Government was just a different type of book than the other two.

WTF machine man. Max is always trying crazy marketing things for his work, but I'm not liking this one.

Max Barry makes me proud to be an Australian, even if hardly any of his books are published here.

I only own a copy of Syrup. I heard about Barry through a friend who told me about his (then) latest book Company.

I tried looking for his novels in bookshops but I couldn't find any, until I found Syrup. It has by far got to be my favourite book ever, it reads exactly like a movie but it isn't too cliched but at the same time it also has this cheesy charm about it.

EDIT: This reminds me, I should go hunting for Company later on. I haven't read Jennifer Government but I've heard a plot synopsis and played an online game of it called "NationStates".

You better.

It took me forever to find a copy of it, and it seems that Barry has forgotten about his origins. :(

It's not that he's forgotten his origins, it's just that it wasn't too popular when it first came out, so reprints are sporadic. It's a problem with his publisher, not him.

Also you guys should read Machine Man it is great and addictive and totally worth the 7bux.
Also sometimes Max responds to comments and that's pretty great too :)
