Do you want angry songs, or just interesting ones?

Angry go with... "Stuck Pig", by Glassjaw. It'll make you want to kill some chick.

Just in general... Anything by the Afghan Whigs. Listen to... "My Curse". It's sad though, I warn.

I've been listening to nothing but Beck, lately, so get some Beck.  His entire discography is great, but every album after Mellow Gold is gold.

H'indeed.

Lead singer is usually male, but he brought on Marcy Mays from Scrawl to sing, supposedly because he "couldn't bring himself to sing it." I'm not sure if I believe that, but it makes a good story.

Because there's a single person on the planet with access to a radio who has not heard Hotel California 800 times.

Having his entire discography, let me break down his albums for you.
And let me just say that you must have bass (and very loud) to listen to Beck any song ever, really.

Mellow Gold
It's got some good songs and melodies, but is definitely Beck's roughest album (aside from Stereopathetic Soul Manure, which is more of a demo CD).  Loser is, of course, a good song and one of his most famous.  My favorite songs are Loser, Fuckin' With My Head (Mountain Dew Rock), Soul Suckin' Jerk, and Beercan.

Odelay
Definitely a great CD.  Here Beck hits his specialty with his sampled sounds and drum beats and more of his nonsense lyrics.  Has plenty of hip-hop sounding songs and whatnot.  Favorite songs are Devil's Haircut, Hot Wax, Novacane, Jack Ass (one of my favorites ever), Where It's At, Sissyneck, and Diskobox.

Mutations
To me, this is one of Beck's more unmemorable albums, but it's still good.  Here Beck's music is more folk songs and lullabies, similar to his album One Foot In The Grave, which is another one of his pre-record label albums.  You get plenty of good songs off this album, though.  Cold Brains, Nobody's Fault But My Own, Tropicalia, Bottle of Blues, O Maria, Static, Diamond Bollocks, and Runners Dial Zero are the best songs off the album, with Diamond Bollocks being absolutely fucking amazing.

Midnite Vultures
This albums has a common disco sound to it, and is full of some weird-ass sounding shit.  Best songs are Sexx Laws, Nicotine and Gravy, Mixed Bizness, Get Real Paid, Broken Train, Beautiful Way (a really good song), and Debra.

Sea Change
In my opinion, Beck's best album.  It's incredibly different from the rest of his albums as this one is slower and way more depressing since Beck wrote the album as a way of getting over his divorce with his long-time wife (hence the "Sea Change").  All the songs are excellent, so I don't really need to list the really good ones, although I am quite fond of Paper Tiger.

Guero
Another one of Beck's best albums with lots of sampling and shit.  Best songs are E-Pro, Que Onda Guero, Girl, Black Tambourine, Hell Yes, Scarecrow, Go It Alone, Farewell Ride, Rental Car, and Just A Message To Her.  The rest are all good, too.

The Information
Also a kickass album.  Good songs are Elevator Music, Think I'm In Love (a really really good song), Strange Apparition, Soldier Jane (probably my favorite Beck song.  Listen to it with the bass really high up), Nausea, Dark Star, No Complaints, The Information, Movie Theme and The Horrible Fanfare/Landslide/Exoskeleton (which is one of those songs that goes on forever at the end of an album.  It's awesome because of the kickass bass and the part from 1:54 to 5:30).

Modern Guilt
I'm actually somewhat underwhelmed by this album.  It's still a good album, but it's so short and unmemorable as well.  My favorite songs are Orphans, Gamma Rays, Chemtrails, Profanity Prayers and Volcano.

There ya go.  For his pre-record label albums, Stereopathetic Soul Manure isn't really worth listening to but One Foot In The Grave is nice.

Also, Guerolito, the remix album of Guero, is alright.  Not a lot of the songs are good.  I only really like Ghost Range (E-Pro) and Ghettochip Malfunction (Hell Yes) (which I actually like more than the original.

Strange Apparition, Diamond Dogs and E-Pro are by far my favorites.
Ah, add Elevator Music.
