Well Wikipedia seems to be wrong, on the official website it's only available for purchase for PS3 and 360. http://www.battlefield1943.com/buy

That sucks, but the PC did just get Battlefield Heroes exclusively, so I guess I'll stick to that.

It comes out on PC in september.

It's not much of a successor, it's really just a stripped down 1942 with a superior engine and graphics. It seems more like a demonstration of the engine then a proper sequel to the series.
A bit like Half Life 2: Lost Coast.


Speaking of that, I want to hear something about Battlefield 3 other then vague leaked information.

I was referencing Rich Vos's mispronunciation of Wikipedia; similar to his interpretation of Amazon.com as Amazot.com. It was just stuck in my head as I was writing that post.

Been playing the 360 trial all night. I have only played 1942 briefly, so I can't give any comparison for them. I really like it, though, and am planning on purchasing it tomorrow.
