QuotePastafarians claim that pirates are ideal beings, whose name was ruined by the catholic church in the 1800's. They believed that pirates in fact gave out candy to small children. Also, as a repercussion, their demise over the last few centuries has caused global warming.
QuoteA few extremist Pastafarians (a specific group called Porfons) believe that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is not one being, but three, and that the Pasta, the Meatballs, and the Holy Sauce, as they are called, are seperate beings.
QuoteThe other belief is that airport security checks are immoral. The Lord your Flying Spaghetti Monster said when you are struck on one cheek you should turn the other one so that you may be struck on that one too.

shut up
one of my friends is a practicing pastafarian and it's pretty sad and pretty annoying and not very funny
not funny at all, its quite lame and a horrible attempt at humor actually thats why this cat needs to shut up
This is old and pathetic.
You guys are so mean, bunch of negative Nancie's on today.
Indeed, everyone's got sand in their vagina today. post something funny and religious if you hate this.

why
Quote from: PatriotClock;1619207why
Rather than just being negative I'd be nice to see something you like.
Quote from: INoodle;1619211Rather than just being negative I'd be nice to see something you like.
Something that is the opposite of the spaghetti monster. Spaghetti monster is funny to 12 year olds and girls.
Only americans are stupid enough to create a anti-thesis which nullifies the whole concept; Why dislike religion and then create your own even if it but a joke? When I was there even the secular humanists had their own chapalancy and church which is just trading one card for another.
I don't mind religion aslong as it's personal and you make your own godamn decitions.

So the plan for this thread was to start a religion fight?
The plan was to discover other stupid ideas people have had for a religion or cult.

ew girls!!
Quote from: CadillacClock;1619245your liberal use of the semicolon disgusts me.
Throbbin cock.
Quote from: CadillacClock;1619245i think you are missing the point.
liberalizing or laughing at religion is far more unflattering to it than the astute indifference of atheism.
Why unflatter it? If you don't like religion then christ indifference is better than spending energy on counterproducing it is it not? Unless you're talking about extremisn but that's another story.
I believe in something because I choose to, not because someone told me to or because this book tells wonderfull stories. I just despise the mixture of state and religion, state should govern it's citizen to the best and most pragmatic level possible, religion should guide them in cases the state can not: Albiet never tell them what to do.
Quote from: CadillacClock;1619245wouldn't completely personalized opinions of a religion defeat the core of religion and or create continuous strife (eg christianity (protestant) or christianity v. christianity (anglican))?
And if it does I would be the first one to cheer, what I believe in should not interfere or matter to anyone but myself.
I've always been against massively organized religion/movements that base their ideals in fantasy and not logic/pragmatics.
This is general forum so let's not go there. <3

Is it just me or were you talking about something and then went on a tangent to something totally unrelated.

Do you think I became a Catholic just because I was told so as a child? It seems awfully insulting to laud those who turn from christianity to atheism by their own choice yet decry those who stay the course by their own will.
Quote from: Marlix Wright;1619256Is it just me or were you talking about something and then went on a tangent to something totally unrelated.
He made it out as if I was anti religion/belief which I was not.

I don't care what you do, be a nazi for all I care aslong as you have full view of everything and have made your choice according to that knowledge.
A bad choice is better than no choice than all, atleast aslong as you know the good and the bad and accept it for nothing else than that.
But do tell, do you seriously think that the Pope is second to christ on earth?
Quote from: CadillacClock;1619259why not?
Because then you come back to the Marlin Wright argument where you just keep whining about who feels the most insulted when talking about godamn fantasies and ghosts.
Quote from: CadillacClock;1619259a religion is an organized collective of spiritual ideals held by a vast quantity of people (a culture). politicians are representatives of those people who are there to protect, maintain, and further the ideals of those people.
seperating politics and religion is not so easy. at least, in a place where religious ideals are abundant.
Yet Jesus himself said you SHOULD seperate them, easy or not.
Ofcourse if everyone votes for the nazi party they will rule and thus you'll have a dictatorship; Is that wrong if it is the peoples choice?
I don't think so if they have been motivated and moved for the right reason; Albiet I never think they ever have been much like in religion.
Ofcourse religion effects people and how they think/vote but I wish for it to not. Being against abortion because you sincerly believe it's a soul in that bunch of inanimate cells then it is your right to believe that. But if you believe it because you base your thoughts in a 2000 year old book without questioning and then take the right to enforce those abstract ideals on other people then that's just pure shit.
yo this thread sucks even more on the second page
Quote from: PropagandaClock;1619257A bad choice is better than no choice than all, atleast aslong as you know the good and the bad and accept it for nothing else than that.
I do not believe people can make no choice on a subject. They either choose to be religious or they do not.
QuoteBut do tell, do you seriously think that the Pope is second to christ on earth?
He is the Archbishop of all the world's Churches, Rome in particular. I do not believe he is infallible, but many men, like the late John Paul II have shown themselves to be incredibly holy and compassionate men of faith. In days of old the Popes were corrupt or controlled by European kings, but I believe now the Cardinals pick truly holy men to be the leader of the Church.
Quote from: PropagandaClock;1619261Because then you come back to the Marlin Wright argument where you just keep whining about who feels the most insulted when talking about godamn fantasies and ghosts.
How polite of you.
woah woah hey I just wanted to complain about my stupid housemate. I hope I didn't help give birth to this shitty argument.

I don't see how an animation I made 6 years ago has anything to do with religions or cults.
so i came to this thread earlier and it sucked
so i came back to this thread right now to see what the ban reason was for inoodle hoping it would be humorous

Quote from: Marlix Wright;1619287I do not believe people can make no choice on a subject. They either choose to be religious or they do not.
Being religious from birth, whole heartedly accepting the entirety of the bible is not a choice but an absence of choice.
IF you however know all the alternatives, have understood the choice in question and still choose to follow that path then that is a choice.

Then you have a healthy sight on the subject.
This should've been moved to the discussion thread or better yet gassed imo but I'm not one to back from a useless discussion on the internet.
P.S
And Marlixn apologies for the insult but in all honesty you hjumpt into a discussion and took something out of content and talk about how it insults whatnot, I hate the whole panic switch some people do when they feel something dissents from their thinking and they feel insulted by it even though I have no intent on insulting anyone but rather express my way of thinking and ways of thinking I don't agree with.
Yeah I know the whole paradox of that but christ I don't care enough to write more make a topic in the discussion forum if you want to take that ....
you all fail.
