I am in the same boat as you. I have only been slightly - as in a few days a year - active. There should be some sort of event time line made so this doesn't happen. It has happened every time I leave and come back to visit. Things are usually for the worse.

Albino and a bunch of other people were saying Rupee obviously didn't get the Clock Crew, never shoulda been here in the first place, yadda yadda. The ban got lifted, eventually, but Rupee must have felt a little scorned/jilted because he hasn't come back. It was kind of a mess.
Tree disappeared in most respects without much trouble. He just kind of stopped showing up, but, for academic purposes, there was a big dramatic thing over the virginia tech massacre, because Tree knew some of those people, but people in the clock crew were making fun of it, and blergh. That was a huge mess.
BZ got made fun of a lot for being so cool and taking so many pictures with his guitar.

I'm not here that much anymore either. I made maybe 2 submissions in 2008 and only 1 this year so far. I dunno, I guess after I got clocked, I stopped putting too much effort into flash. I worked hard to make flash during 06 and 07 because I wanted to be as active as I could to get voted as a clock successfully. The old clockification system is gone. Now you're a clock after being here for 6 months.
I was one of the last of the clocks to be clockified the old way.

I left because I got too lazy to produce Flash and I was spending too much time on online communities. And I decided to use my old clock name because I didn't think anyone would remember me. I didn't want to post again though, I just wanted to read a few articles, but then I posted on one, then another, then another, and now I'm involved again. I know I was never really active, nor did I contribute much, but I tried to be, but then my early-life crisis came about and I left the internet, bad timing I guess.
I used to be in the Lock Legion as a young boy and I was pretty active in that group, I made a lot of flash and posted a lot on the BBS, but I've deleted all my submissions and what not because I'm ashamed. The Lock Legion was gay because there were few guys that everyone felt they needed to suck their dick and impress and you constantly had to prove yourself and they would shit on you and make you feel like an insignificant maggot and there was no way you could be like them. And of course, as a young boy with no life I tried and tried until my balls dropped and I realized that it was just teh intarnetz and I didn't realize why I wanted to prove myself to the a couple of nerds pretending to be objects with lock holes for faces on the internet. So I said "lol this is gay" and left. later I joined the Clock Crew, which I guess some would say isn't much of an improvement, but it is. The Clock Crew has a good balance of talent, intelligence, maturity, humour and all around good times with no obligations.
I'll be moving away to college in a few weeks so I might take a bit of a hiatus, but then again, I'll be studying animation which could fuel my interest in the Clock Crew, and maybe allow me to bring Clocks alive in my classroom. Also, I will not know anyone there and might turn to you guys for some sort of socialization.

It kind of saddens me that Grey left in such a huff, despite what anybody on this forum may think of him, he was one of the people i looked up to when i started getting into the Clock Crew, and he usually stood up for alot of members despite them being 'faggots'.

The Clockopedia is something that shouldn't be neglected. Speaking from my 8 years of being in the Clock Crew, (with a big hiatus in the middle but checking in every now and then)... the group has evolved significantly from the early days of 2001/02. Ie. how the crew interacts, the types of jokes being used in clock movies, how SBC is portrayed etc.
There have also been distinct generations of the Clock Crew which is really interesting. I hope OrangeClock realises the extent of what he created that the torch has been passed along for 8 years now.
