Title: [NFL] Are you ready for some football?
Post by: Marlin Clock on September 14, 2009, 12:13:05 AM
Apparently Jay Cutler wasn't.

God fucking damn him. Four god damned interceptions in one game, especially that last one.

I asked this question a while ago and it seems that the Clock Crew is alarmingly unprepared for football. (http://www.clockcrew.cc/talk/showthread.php?t=66164&page=2&highlight=ready+football)

Though to be honest it's hard for me to care about the NFL. I casually root for the Niners because they are local and I somewhat more vehemently root against the Raiders because they are ruining the stadium of my second favorite baseball team.

So yeah go Cal.

Hell yeah, packers played one hell of a game today.  Aaron Rodgers kicked ass.  I don't even care if we were just playing the rams.

49ers were so dumb to just run and not try for the first down. Never let Farve do the one minute drill.

Bears kicked ass again yesterday. Hester is really impressing me this year as WR.

yes never take the safe option that works probably 95 out of 100 times in lieu of letting a crippled 40 year old try to score a touchdown in a minute and a half from bad field position

patriot is right for once: greg lewis' catch was about a million times more impressive than favre's throw

A crippled 40 year old who has built his career on the throwing when the pressure is on. That last play was a way better catch than a throw, but Farve was still side-stepping the Niner rush like it was nothing.

I'd rather try for the first down (at least run down 2 timeouts and throw on third down) than go 3 and out, giving the ball back.

I suppose I don't know much about football, but I still think it was dumb to give Farve a chance.

he sidestepped one end on a three-man rush it's not like he showed amazing athleticism or anything

He was still under pretty harsh pressure from the defense. Sure lewis made the catch but to say favre did nothing impressive is ridicules.

And espn didnt go crazy over just favre. They showed the lewis catch from atleast 3 different angles and pointed out his footwork to boot.

Quit hatin.

I just watched Pat White almost die. If the Steelers blow this game it will be a glorious day.

Vikings lost.

I want to kill myself, as I dislike both the saints and the colts and could care less who wins this super bowl.

What a coincidence as I like both teams and am glad Favre's geriatric ass will be watching from home.

Yup if it were a colts-vikings game I wouldn't bother watching. Also glad the jets lost too.

I hate the colts because they ruined my 2006 super bowl.

The saints are a team I could care less about also. I dont really hate them but I dont care enough about them to want to watch.
