So I play in a semi-cool death metal band and we've been active for quite a time and at the moment we are writing our debut album. So anyways, new songs equal development which equals different lyrical themes whatever etc. Anyways new theme is planned to be water shit, like atlantis and crap, deep underwater fuck monster and so on.

I like the colours, but I think the background is too similar to the middle of the word (vertically) and it kind of blurs together. Other than that it looks pretty swell.

Since when do logos have to be readable? Our current one is not that readable anyways :) But yea, this one is just a WIP anyways.

Your band is sick, fuck the haters it's supposed to be unreadable.
This sort of music is not my cup of tea, but try mixing the drums at a slightly lower volume. TUCKATUCKATUCKATUCKATUCKATUCKATUCKATUCKATUCKA gets annoying when it overpowers everything else.
As far as that logo goes, it looks too "rocky" to me, maybe try giving it a jagged steel effect or something.
That and brighten up the text colors a bit so you can keep that gray background without it looking weird.
The logo is nice. It doesn't really matter if its legible or not but it does matter if people can see it, which they almost certainly won't be able to if it's on that background. Just because you're a death metal band doesn't mean everything has to be black and grey. Colour design should come before DARKNESS or whatever. Stick it against a desaturated orange or something.
