Working on something that I'm feeling good about so far, I want you all to tell me what you think.
Before I get bludgeoned by anyone bitching it's a Lock flash: There's going to be some clock cameos and the clock crew will be involved in the story. Anyway I'm sure only the stupid would bitch about that anyway.
edit: oh fuck, stupid flash tags faggot shit ass dicks. i dont know how to fix it with the proper size dimensions; 600 x 400

Yeah, if you're going to try to make a high quality movie using c/locks just makes it worse and does nothing to make it better. You spend all your time making sure you put enough detail into every mud stain on the side of a dilapidated building and didn't want to bother making characters that you need to draw more than once? Are you afraid of getting acclaim for your efforts and artistic talents outside of 2 niche groups? Just make it star humans or something. You're using locks as a crutch instead of a tool.
I know you're just going to use locks anyway, I just like to bitch.

I get what you're saying, I just find it really odd in context to this website. Like, someone shows off a c/lock flash that has effort put in to it and you tell them it shouldn't be a c/lock flash. I mean, this is the Clockcrew, right? Don't we all do that? Or am I on a different website?
Either way though, this is going to be my last c/lock flash. I just wanted to make it a decent one.

We all make clock flashes, but we don't all put effort into them.

So it's like you're criticizing me for putting effort in to something...? :/

The c/lock character concept is a tool with a lot of possibilities but isn't just a 1 size fits all archetype that is going to work for every plot. The exception is that it can be used ironicly in pretty much anything, but I saw no joke in your movie, unless the joke is that you're playing it straight and you're just being super double ironic, but I doubt you're being that meta.
Am I criticizing you for putting effort into something? No. I am criticizing you for shoehorning an animation tool (c/lock characters) in a movie genre that they just don't belong.
thor, unless I'm terribly mistaken, nobody busts down your door for making things like Dancing F, telling you that ever since the release of L, Sonne, and The Void II, the Clock Crew should only be pursuing serious action/drama pieces and using all the characters being represented by simple objects as a deliberate artistic limitation
you've made your point. let it go.
Your audio clips in some parts, particularly when Peach says, "Hello, yes we are survivors!"
Other mistakes:
"We don-tee want to miss this."
"Definately" instead of "definitely."
Criticism:
It's graphically very appealing in most respects. I don't think you're really pushing yourself animation-wise, though- you're still just tweening. Your camera shots come off as more emulatory than meaningful, as did the use of music, but at least you've acknowledged that you need to take the "camera" into account. Plot leaves a little to be desired, but of course it's unfinished.
As for the reflection at the beginning on the water, water doesn't reflect omnidirectionally. At some angles it will be reflective, and others transparent. Try looking at a lit pool of water from above, then looking at it askew. The angles would have changed way too much over that distance for it to have maintained perfect reflectivity across the whole pool.
It's looking sexy ! What amazes me is that you put so much effort into smooth tweening that you could probably do it with human bodies but in other sorts (Max Payne style etc.)
For being a C/Lock movie this is probably as good as they will ever get.
Also my Lock alias is in that movie :o

Revelation 9
1...and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
Just setting things clear, I like your stuff and respect you Poison Mushroom, I'm just sad that you aren't using your talent in a way I think would use it best.
That was awesomely cinematic! I was floored by how great the shot of aubergine was set up. Great choice for soundtrack. If there was a little background music and lowered volume on the screechy radio I think the basement scene would be perfect. A little extra effort into the zombies in the street would bring the whole opening together. For what this is, I think it's great.

Thanks man. I did redraw those zombies outside, the only reason they looked so poor as I really wanted to avoid lag.
What they look like now:

And Thor, I thought that's what you were getting at. As I said before though, this is going to be my last c/lock flash so I will be doing different stuff in the future.
Duuude it looks sick. Keep it coming.
Maaaan that is really cool. But imagine if you the actual movie began after that zombi titel thing pops up : ) that would be swell

This is the case.
That's pretty amazing to be honest, heck even the music choices you've picked for it matches the mood for it. I'm definetely looking forward to your progress on this.
Ew a Lock movie.
would there really be loads of smoke coming from that building a month after it was bombed?
Quote from: iPodClock;1684609would there really be loads of smoke coming from that building a month after it was bombed?
The building wasn't what was bombed.
Quote from: STUBZ;1684796The building wasn't what was bombed.
so the giant hole in it was termites or?
Quote from: RadioTubeClock;1684847Could be a secondary fire caused by a gas line or some electrical thing
.
I meant that the building wasn't the only thing that was bombed I suppose.
a bomb just dropped and some buildings and shiz got blasted away and stuff, where the bomb hit would be entirely leveled i guess, i dont know, i just wanted the city to look in ruin

dont mind them, theyre tossers.
it's fab-u-less.
and you clocks who animate should of all people know that sheep/viewers almost never view the background scenes and certainly do not analyze them.
"Oh nice, a corpse, oo buildings, dirty old buildings, hey cool smoke, i wonder what that smoke is from, i wonder if theres a bbq, with steak, man i love steak, steak is win."
All your fishing needs.
if this was a real zombie movie i would've laughed so hard and stopped the film and put the dvd in the microwave and just wouldnt stop laughing until either the disc melts or the microwave explodes
then i would go to //www.locklegion.com and just never stop laughing

I like it already.
Good job! Wow, That was brilliant!
Next time instead of typing in "don't" in speakonia type in "dont" and if necessary type "downt".
hey i like locks
khhhg
my only complaint is that you need to find some sexy ass voice acting to match the graphics style
keep going, looks promising
Needs ambient zombie movie music and real voice acting, then it would be epic. I could score it if youd like.
