I am going on a backpacking trip and it is expected to drop into the 30s (Fahrenheit) at night. Will a sleeping back called a Marmot 25f regular be ok?
Get a hotel room and a smaller sig.
bring a hat.
God, I should have known. You guys don't go outside, let alone camping.
30f is hotter than 25f, so I assume the Marmot is fine.
If it's too cold just wear a couple layers of clothes.
If it's too hot sleep naked.
It's not that complicated.
We're a bunch of people on the internet, what makes you think we do much camping?
in fact you have an extra 5 degrees of warmth for you when yet you only need one.
so don't get greedy.
You should be fine. Just make sure the top of your head and your neck are covered. Also, if you put your pants for the next day in the bottom of your sleeping bag they won't be fucking freezing in the morning. Any other concerns? I can tell you how to safely keep a desktop in a tent.
sleeping bag is bad if u eat food that makes a bunch of crumbs: it takes forever to clean those out if you wanna be lazy and not step out from the bag.
so avoid that.

He'll be too busy freezing to death to bother eating in bed.

That's true.
have fun.

-1 degrees Celsius, if I remember.
Psh, pansy. That's a balmy day.
Sleep inside a tauntaun.
Sleep in the dirt
I've been camping since I was 6 months old (for real), you'll be fine in that temperature.
Although, I would recommend testing out the sleeping bag before going out into the wild. There's really noway any of us could test your sleeping bags condition. Regardless of brand name.

Woah me too, except I've had a camping drought for the past couple of years.
Bring a beanie, that shit keeps you warm no matter the weather.
sweater+jacket+rundown sleeping bag+fire=warm
nerds and their super sleeping bags what the fuck is that my old sleeping bag was used by my grandfather and is still half full of it's original down stuffing. it smells like old people and EXPERIENCE. and beards

Quit being so damn lame man. Camping is a fucking blast
I was a boy scout for 5 years, and camping in the desert is a bitch for the ass-raping cold nights, your experience could be easier though as you live in a more stable area.
if you are getting mosquito repel be sure its a good brand because knock-offs attract them instead.
get thick clothing for any case. If it suddenly gets cold just put it on,the beanie hat idea is really good though.

Quite a bug's crawled up your ass lately, maybe you should have zipped up your sleeping bag tighter.
If you've got a 25-degree bag, then 30 degress should be no problem.
If you still not sure, bring long underwear. Also bring a mat with you- the ground can suck up heat as well, and a bare tent floor is murder on the back. Unless you're sleeping on a cot. Then still bring it with you, as the cots can be uncomfortable.
Oh yeah- for mosquitoes, wear long socks. They tend to go for the ankles for me anyway.
Light your sleeping bag on fire while you're in it to keep warm.

This always works.

Most campers change out of there day-clothes before crawling into bed because they're usually run pretty rugged. Your clothes will have gotten some dirt on them or are a little wet here and there and they definitly have little critters in them - dead and alive.
It's all personal choice, but after 3 days of being in the brush: I would rather not crawl into a smelly, moist, dirty, and bug infest sleeping bag. Especially when getting naked (or into long johns) is the solution.

All good advice. Bring a hat too, you might wear it at night.

That reminds me, where are you going?

Actually I'm just telling people what I really think.
Okay, for camping you need to find like a really high building and get a sniper rifle. Just lay down right by the edge and when the enemy spawns just shoot them. They might call you names like 'noob' or 'spawn camper,' but don't listen, they're just jealous.
I went hiking in the Appalachians for three days not long ago, but it was way warmer than 30F, so I don't know if I'd be much help.
Bugs are ubiquitous outside. Learn to love them, that or cover yourself in DEET.

:lo5:
TF2 players don't appreciate my strategic genius.

I feel like a big nerd for laughing at this.
camping is the most bourgeois of outdoor activities, only the rich would find it fun to pretend to be poor hermits for a weekend

I was a poor hermit this summer and it was fun as hell. The rich don't know what they're missing.
Stay on the path!

Kill and skin every animal you can find then make a leather tent out of their corpses. (preferably while still wet with blood) This is the only way to be manly while camping.

eat their entrails raw over the course of the trip

yeah dude FUCK nature
if you bring a tent, make sure its tightly sealed at all times, because bugs or critters or the homeless will find a way into it with just a tiny little crack.
pretty much all the other advice is good, definitely the mat and the beanie.
When I saw this thread i was going to do a spawn camping joke, but I knew that by the third page someone would have done it already and I was right.

I've always found the word bourgeois to be really bourgeois.
