I'm going to some sports store tomorrow to purchase some kind of boxing thing to hit and practice with.

Yeah honestly if you're going to buy a punching bag or whatever definitely be sure to get at least some training gloves, other than that it really shouldn't matter which one you decide to go with. (except if you're looking for an actual punching bag or a speed bag or different types)
