Title: Tattoo stuff
Post by: SpongeClock SquarePants on November 04, 2009, 02:18:20 PM
A friend of mine started getting into tattoo's and stuff the past 2 years, right now he has a collection of horridly looking tattoos, five of them....
So i was thinking/remembering ive seen better/nicer/prettier ones than that and did a little to search to the beauty that is sometimes in tatooting.

then i copied an image and made a thread
Plz post pictures of actual good looking tattoos in here. All i see on the beach etc. are ugly tribals and ass antlers.

Go!

Two friends of mine have AFCA tattooed on their legs in a huge bold Gothic font. Just to give an indication of the type of crap i have to deal with on a daily basis.

Also i could look for days but honestly there isn't a single tattoo out there that i find cool or beautiful. They might aswell just hand out stamps with "INSECURE COCK" "VAIN DOUCHE" "LOW SELF ESTEEM" "NOBODY GETS ME"and "DADDY ISSUES" oh and ofcourse "IT'S A FORM OF EXPRESSION, WHICH I NEED TO DO BECAUSE OF AFOREMENTIONED STAMP" to go under it.

I was going to tatoo a 4x7 cm black cross on my lower right arm, inside. With the simple numbers 119:147 (the psalm and the verse) but then I went to Cyprus.

And at first I was just aggrivated, then when we were at this bar at 12:00 in the morning drinking for the poolparty at 16:00 I joked to my friend; "Man it's like every third person here has a godamn ugly tribal or shitty tasteless, soulless tatoo".
It was a joke, but then I started pointing at people and I realised out of the like 50 people there more than 20 had tatoos.

1 of them was good, it was a goth pirate thing that looked suffering but so amazingly hot on this girls leg.

On another note, tribals should carry the death penalty.

Ofcourse not everybody with a tattoo is a tool. For some people it actually has a meaning yadada. It's just that these days everybody and their mother have a tattoo, being unique now means not having a tattoo. It's my way of rebelling to mainstream society. Fuck you, you conformist tattoo bastards, go watch your Miami ink you tools!

Shame you can't really have coloured tatoos like that forever since colours fade much faster than black. Aswell as they smudge out.

They're cool though, but I'd never get one.

The only tattoo I'd consider is one of myself giving two really enthusiastic thumbs up, on my chest, really big, with stars shooting out of the sides.

Then something along the lines of "SHIT YEAH" beneath it.

That's just the regular discovery channel i don't even watch that anymore ('cept How it's Made and Dirty Jobs), the specialized channels like Discovery world, science, civilization, travel and animal planet are way better.

It's super neat! you also get the History Channel, Nat Geo Wild and a ton of other shit i don't really watch. I have like 14 music channels, 3 porn channels, literally every Dutch local channel, 6 cartoon channels, Humor tv, Het Gesprek, some bullshit hippie feelgood channel, Reality channel, 3 Zone channels, 4 sports channels, 2 fashion channels, 4 bbc's, SCI-FI, 13th Street, Horror channel, E!, 4 American news channels, Fox live or something, 8 German channels, 2 French channels, 1 Spanish channel, 1 Italian channel, 3 Turkish channels, AL JAZEERA and a ton of other shit allong with the standard 30 orso channels obviously, which totals around 100 channels for 4,99 a month or something!

When I was younger, Discovery Channel used to be a lot better and more science-related. Now all its filled with is silly shits.

Oh I agree with you; the majority of people that get tattoos do it only for the fact of having one, so they end up with the worst possible art someone can get on their bodies but because its the norm, no one really notices.

Is it not ok for someone to draw on their bodies what they want? I mean, i really think you should be put against the wall if you sport gay ass badly drawn tribals but if the owner actually likes it, hey why should we care?

It's not about caring but rather the display of how a certain population thinks.

Tattoos are swell if they're done right. Although I think people take them a little too seriously. I have one myself, and I may get more depending on how I feel. There are a lot of bad tattoos out there though.

You made it sound as though the pitbulls are wearing cherry red high heels which made me giggle.

I have one/two tattoo(s) (don't know if it considered one or two, it's two nautical stars that are separate but were done at the same sitting and are near each other...) and I do not watch Miami Ink.  Kat Von Dee is a suck-ass sellout.

Anyway... point being... don't knock on people with tattoos... you can't even see mine, I got them for sentimental value... though for this tattoo not really sure what the sentimental value would be...

It's black-light reactive ink. At first the skin just looks kind of fucked up, by 3 months it looks like a brand, and by 10 months it's invisible. Fucking invisible glowing tattoos.

I think if I did that I'd have to make a shirt with something like these mounted in the arms. http://www.blacklight.com/items/chnvf4

From what I've heard the pigments are reliably safe yet, we used some of the pink UV ink in the shop and the results weren't great. I suggest waiting a few years for better ink. Full hands and face done in this would be great for raves.

I'll probably get a better rendition of this on my upper back (left or right)
It it's gonna be invisible ink, then make it on the whole back.
