Clock Crew

Hey everyone, this February you will have the honor of being able to participate in this fabulous contest. Here's how it's gonna work:

• You will work in teams. One person will write, and the other will animate. If it is a big project, you can make it two people for each part. Of course, you can help the animation dudes if you're writing.
• The subject, as mentioned in the topic title, is The Fragility Of The Mind. You have until the 17th of March to come up with something.
  
• From the 14th to the 17th all participating teams should show me some sort of progress. A script, some animation, whatever. This will help me decide if I extend the deadline or not.
  
• Not making Clock Flash is allowed and even encouraged. This is a great chance to start on DigitalLemon's idea.
  
• You may partake in more than one team.
• There will be awards for first, second, and third places.(They're not done yet, anyone who wishes to do so, go right ahead.)
• The winners will be decided by voting.

Because I feel like it could go either way. The team mates could help to encourage eachother, or it could really slow down the process to people who are used to work alone.

I already have a few ideas with where we could go from here, think drugs/ surrealism type stuff. Please PM me if it sounds interesting.

Also clockfans feel free to PM me, don't feel discouraged. I'd love to pair up with a clockfan that is just starting to learn flash and give him a helping start with the crew.

I am up for animating, as long as who writes keeps in contact with me (Steam/AIM/Skype). I usually procrastinate or forget many projects I have to do, so constant bitching and planning can help.

I'm up for animation.

Put me down as an animator, I'll make it more refined than my other work.

This sounds like a good way to get some collaboratory practice in.

Ideally, my writer counterpart would have a good understanding of animation as a storytelling medium, could collaborate with me on storyboards and knows the limitations of an animation.

But i'm open to anyone with a good idea so any writers who'd like to work with me please pm me and ill get back to you asap.

Email is probably the best way to communicate. "cableshaft" at our good buddies at Gmail is the way to do that. I can also pop on IM whenever your availability is established; I just try to avoid going on it without a distinct purpose for the time being.

We should do a bit of brainstorming before I start writing. No sense me working on a story that you're not interested in.

So hey everyone, you can start sending me what you have so far so I can judge whether we need a deadline extension. I'm a bit behind on my work too, so I should start wrapping this up.

Unless someone can animate some stuff fast, it looks like I am out. Absinthe had a paying gig come along he had to take, and i don't blame him. He needs the cash. If anyone thinks they are a "Bad Enough Dude" To animate a non clock flash dealing with in depth horror themes, hit me up.

sending the PM to newgrounds isn't usually a good idea for me. i can go weeks without visiting the site, and months without logging in. really should have PM'ed me on this site.

i found a writer (nobody contacted me so i asked bombclock) but the story isnt finished

i could probably finish it before the deadline, but honestly the experience of collaborating on the story and stuff is worth way more to me than the final product, so we'll see

So. How's things going?

Sage and I are making progress. Hope we can get it together.

School is literally kicking me in the balls and I have had no time to animate, however I did get started on a rough outline so I guess we'll see. Even if I don't make it for the contest deadline I'll still submit it eventually.

This week is somewhat borked for me. I've got 4 tests this week, all right in a row, and all of them I've been behind on my assigned reading. All of my classes are sneaking exams in before Spring Break starts. I'll get the script finished after that.
