I know that everyone with a Tron avatar wants to see this, but anyone else?
Oh and also, I went to a special Imax event for this. Said event was a 3-minute commercial and a t-shirt. I thought it was a prescreening and so did most other people in the theater from what I could tell.
i really can't wait for this, apparently daft punk are not only doing the soundtrack but also make an appearance in the movie which i am ultra excited for.
sweet
Jeff Bridges
I hope Daft Punks stuff is good.
Although its never been bad.
I'm going to be the first one to say this
It looks kinda ugly
Plus those bikes should only be able to make right-angled turns!!!!
I'm excited.

Mainly because of this.

This is also a plus, since Jeff Bridges is great, although it's kind of expected since it makes sense that he would reprise his role as a now older Flynn.

Uhm, why the hell not? That is like saying systems should never upgrade. It is like, what, 25 years in the future? Technology has progressed since then duder.

Ah, I haven't seen Tron since I was little, I thought this took place like five years in the future or something.

Latest trailer. My god this looks good.
Holy fuck this is awesome!
I knew this avatar would pay off!
HOLY SHIT THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME
It's worthy of the Tron name, the special effects are great and it is amazing in almost every way
If you have not seen this yet you are doing your eyes a disservice!!
Yeah I saw it 2 nights ago and I absolutely loved it. All of the people that are giving it bad reviews are dumb people who liked "Jennifer's Body" (I kid you not, there's a top critic on Rotten Tomatoes who said Tron: Legacy is awful and gave Jennifer's Body a good review), never saw, liked, or even heard of the original Tron, or there are the other people who think "certain movies about a certain website's beginning" was the greatest film of all time (I'm talking more about people at my school when I say this). Legacy is definitely worth seeing if you're a Tron fan. There are so many things that they throw in there that reference the original movie if you look hard enough as well as some dialogue. I would totally see it again. And now I'm going to stop talking about how much I love this movie.
Watched it high. Was all like woah and stuff. Daft Punk soundtrack made me grin like an idiot every time it swelled. What I saw in Tron was what I suppose other people saw in Avatar (I only thought Avatar was neat but not mind-blowing.)
<---------- That was my reaction. Go see Tron.
i saw this in 3d at imax with louise and good god it was beautiful
Me and my friend saw it last night.
The soundtrack was great, and the acting was swell all around- but the effects are what really stole the show. From what i was reading online i must be the only one on earth with genuine love for the 30-years-younger Kevin Flynn/Clu, because DAMN was that ever impressive.
Coincidentally, did anybody else notice how the modern-age Kevin Flynn bore a striking resemblance to Obi-Wan? Similarly, the scene where the 3 of them were being chased in a ship by Clu's goons and Sam takes one of them out and shouts in excitement, my friend turns to me and says "Great, kid. Don't get cocky!".
I'm having a hard time recalling exact events which should say something to the memorability of the plot. The scenes springing straight to mind are all ones based on the discs and/or lightcycles- which are more or less going through the same routine as the first Tron. Actually, now that I've used the word 'Tron'- i'd like to point out the severe LACK of screentime for the actual character of Tron. You only see his face in that one flashback from where Clu beings his genocide of the ISOs, and he really only comes into play during the third act. Incidentally, that bit at the end where he remembers back when he wasn't a complete asshole, then Clu beats his ass and he turns blue again seems to be hinting towards some kind of sequel? Doesn't seem unlikely due to this one coming out on top at the box office.
All-in-all, I really enjoyed Tron: Legacy, and I look forward to seeing Tron 3 sometime within the next 30 years.

I think we'd be pretty hard pressed to find anyone on this site who did not love Tron Legacy. At least like it greatly even. This was an all around phenomenal movie, and I can't wait for a sequel. I just couldn't possibly imagine what else could go wrong in there... Maybe it would be just Tron trying to clean up the mess left behind by CLU.
Might go watching this some day soon, I think the visual style looks too fancy and not as cheesy as the original Tron, but I will give it a chance.
I've read in a couple places that it's impossible to buy a new copy of the original Tron at the moment- Does anybody know anything about this?
