This is something I put together for an avatar when I signed up here. You couldn't get a decent view of it due to the shrinking, so I decided to put it up here for better inspection.

My approach on Flash is particularly slack, so please let me know if my lazy attempt needs correcting here and there.

it needs a clock on the clock. or maybe a closed lid, and a clock on the lid.
thicker rim?
THICK MASSIVE black outlines (personal pref)
the lines runs trough the numbers, kinda weird.

You make a couple of good points there. The line has a similar colour to the numbers, which makes the two seem to meld together a bit, perhaps I could move it further into the clock itself, or make it an even lighter grey. Yes, the sides do seem to be a bit thin. As for the clock part, I wasn't quite sure if I would require a clock since my name is basically a clock within itself, but I'll go with your judgement. A closed lid is a good idea, too.

Thanks for providing feedback, I'll work on it soon enough.

a closed lid would make possible to do some nice etching effects on it.

Shading has never really been my strong point, but I get what you mean.

I tried to base my drawing on this image here, but as you can see, it's quite a deal lighter in the drawing. A golden pocket watch would create better contrast with the white reflections. I have not attempted to create many metallic objects, so my understanding of the shading and reflections isn't great. So I'll take that into account when I can get myself to work on it later. Thank you both very much.

Yeah I'd up the contrast and maybe work on the arrows a little more and make them less boring, but that is a very fine clock right there.
