I prefer non-videogame related creepy stories, because the people who write these videogame stories are dumbasses who don't know anything about videogame programming and hacking and usually reveal the story as obviously fake by the second sentence, ruining suspension of disbelief. I mean, they're obviously trying to slowly increase the strangeness and impossibility slowly over time, but their ignorance causes them to lay it all out at the start.

I like this website. It's best if you read it in a marathon as it slowly creates a fictional universe that can really suck you in. The individual stories are kind of hit or miss though.

Once we were children, one of the only present unexplainable mysteries was death. And thinking of just death itself without causes or consequences is plain fucking insane.

This is kind of what I imagined by watching some Game Over screens in SNES games. None was this graphical of course, but I remember arranging odd pictures like these in the Donkey Kong Country series game over screens.

Going back to the topic, that was an excellent read and I would love to find that game. Bootleg's and hacks always had that bit of mystery in them because there are no information sources for them like serebii.net or other site's are for original pokemon games.

I was watching Courage The Cowardly Dog (One of my top three animated shows ever! :fifen:) I remembered there was one around Freaky Fred's girlfriend, where she was raped and killed by him. Can't seem to find it though.
