Quote from: The Campaign for Commercial-Free ChildhoodIt's hard to believe, but McDonald's Happy Meal toys have hit a new low.
The fast food giant’s latest giveaway for preschool boys features eight Marvel comic action figures. One, The Human Torch, is a man engulfed in flames. Another, The Thing, menacingly roars “IT’S CLOBBERIN’ TIME!†at the press of a button.
It's bad enough that McDonald's relentlessly uses junk toys to sell children on junk food. It's awful that this giveaway continues the troubling trend of fast food restaurants promoting toys linked to violent PG-13 movies. And it's terrible that McDonald's, the leading distributor of toys in the United States, relentlessly perpetuates the worst gendered stereotypes with its Happy Meal giveaways. During the current promotion, boys get violent action figures with their burgers and fries, while girls are offered cutesy animals that, bizarrely, come with hand bags.
But now, for preschool boys, a so-called happy meal at McDonald’s features the horrifying spectacle of a man on fire and a menacing figure that explicitly spurs them to violence.
The fast food giant claims that "getting a toy is just one part of a fun, family experience at McDonald's."
If clobberin' time is McDonald's idea of family fun, it's time to steer clear of the Golden Arches.

Quoteviolent PG-13 movies.
You mean "Viloent comic books that have been around for almost a century."
Andf when I read the title, I thought you'd post a link to newgrounds.
Children shouldn't be exposed to plot elements like conflict.
conflict of them: eating food.
The Hulk is promoting steroids and green body paint. Or exposal to radiation. Evil.
That's wretched!

Nothin' wrong with this.
I'm actually thinking im going to get a happy meal later.
I want that Captain America.
Meet the stupidest organization on earth:
Robclock
I think this organization is much more stupid. (http://www.clockcrew.cc/talk/index.php)
If I was still a child, those toys would be fucking awesome. A step up from the normal shit McDonalds gives away in their happy meals.
I got the iron man and spider-man toys. These toys fucking rule in comparison to most of the ones they've been handing out previously.
I might get a Happy Meal just so i can get one, they look awesome.

Shooting webs of BLOOOOD.
This is ridiculous... trying to protect kids and make them all sensitive and shit. Like they don't see the news everyday.
Superheroes are an American classic. Even the gay ones who light themselves on fire.
"CCFC is supported by nearly thirty organizations."
"McDonald's restaurants are found in 119 countries[11] and territories around the world and serve nearly 47 million customers each day. McDonald's operates over 31,000 restaurants worldwide, employing more than 1.5 million people"
Who do you think will win this battle for our children's souls?
This orginization is a noble purpose, children shouldn't be having fun when they eat at McDonalds, you guys are all pure evil and the devil posses you all.
Stupidest organization on earth?

Yeah this isn't even in the top ten list of stupidest organizations
Also McDonald's is shit, when I have kids I'm taking them to In-N-Out burger like a good parent.
in terms of things that are wrong with mcdonald's, cool superhero toys do not even make the top 1000.
also I would go to bat for the flat earth society those dudes are rad.
I think the STUPIDEST organization would be one that thought "stupidest" was a real word. OOOH I went there I'm that guy.
But for real why are 3/8 of the Marvel toys dedicated to Fantastic 4 characters. Thor doesn't make the cut? I assume it's because he would be too hard to color.
They're worried about the violent toys, but not the health problems their kids are going to be faced with from years of eating McDonalds crap? If they're so concerned with a commercial-free childhood they wouldn't be taking them to McDonalds in the first place.
The only Happy Meal toy that was ever good lately was the Toothless toy during the How to Train Your Dragon promotion, and I didn't fucking get one. Society blows.
Why not petition McDonald's to change their shitty food instead

Was it the well placed cuts, light-humored shorts on obesity or the barrage of facts and figures that made it awful?
