In the end it actually works out for the better, its nice having a static login name.
We will soon be able to change our names when we want too don't worry, they just have to implement it.
When he says permanent user name he means the name that will be displayed in your [AKA: your name] slot, and will also be the name you log in with like he said.

You will never be able to change the name you log in with. Just the name that is displayed. That is why we are telling people now to post in this thread and we will change their names(the name you log in with) for them.

Your login name will continue to be "paranoid" but by that time they will give you the power to change the name above your avatar yourself and you can change it to paranoidclock.
