Zombie Lincoln has a problem. His computer crashed (again). This usually happens a few times a year.
Fortunately, all of his animations and art are saved on a separate drive. Unfortunately, something got bungled up this time and everything got wiped. Almost every piece of artwork and every animation he's ever made is now gone.
He's a little distraught right now, although he'd never actually admit it.
I'm going to start combing these threads to see how much of his art I can find. I'm sure there's a lot of it posted around. If anyone here is willing to help, that would be awesome.

He disabled file backups/recovery on his comp. So no backups...
It's usually a matter of reinstalling windows and wiping the C drive. For whatever reason, most of his artwork/animation stored on the D drive got wiped as well.

I looked through my bookmarks of noteworthy threads and I couldn't find any with ZL's drawings in them, at least as far as ones that weren't deleted in the culling go.

Tell him to try to use PC Inspector to recover the "100% completely gone" files. Sometimes it'll pick up the ghost files on the drive. So there is still hope!

my computer got hacked a couples months ago and we actually got on the phone with the kids that did it, but eventually we just wiped my pc and it all went away. The problem I've run into since is all my programs I had installed and shit and registered to that computer don't run as well as they used to.

I also lost all my animations, including the incomplete ones I was working on. If I happened to send any of you a .fla file at some point...Though I don't remember if I've ever done that.

if all you did was format then a majority of the data will be recoverable. best way is to get a program (i havent done this in some time so i cant reccommend one) and that will let you explore and capture any files you need. please do this asap before writing anything new to that drive.

One time I accidentally formatted both my hard drives because the debian install cd is a piece of shit and ignored me checking to only use one partition. Anyway, non of the linux recovery software did shit so I had to install windows 7 onto an old 30gb ide drive so I could run windows recovery software and back up my two 1tb drives onto a million 4gb sd cards and old mp3 players I had in a drawer. After that I bought an external enclosure and a 1.5tb hard drive.
Also fuck Linux. You can't do shit on it. Can't run two video cards at the same time, can't install to a fucking external drive. I mean you could probably do all that shit but you'd have to write your own drivers or some shit.
