General Discussion / Ideas for destroying an Xbox 360
September 15, 2009, 06:24:10 PM
Quote from: MonsterMunch;1666438I'm actually thinking of standing in the street with a baseball bat or a sledgehammer and asking random passers-by to fuck it up.
That sounds good, but you should charge people five bucks to have a few hits at it.

Either that, or salvage the parts from the inside and sell them on eBay as someone else suggested.

Here you go, Dwarfinator.

Just checked, and nope.

Who else besides Souvlaki is experiencing this?

Whenever I enter a thread that FUClock has posted in, his message box has been filled with the forum background and there's no text.

I don't know if it's meant to be like that, but whatever.

General Discussion / ATTN CC
September 09, 2009, 06:45:39 AM
Quote from: FossilClock;1663253Friend of mine from school keeps asking about what the CC is

How should I approach this situation

Edit: Forgot to mention, she's considering joining and finding out on her own

Should I let her blunder into it or should I tell her
Let the innocent one blunder into our lair all on her own.

It will be more satisfying when we drink her untainted blood and feed ourselves on her sweet soul. :reporter:

General Discussion / THOR CLOCK IS A BAD MAN
September 09, 2009, 06:39:23 AM
Quote from: RibsClock;1663707Nosir. I didn't like it.
Lol, wasn't that what the horse from Ren & Stimpy always said?

I enjoyed the humour of your movie Thor and it helped to give an insight on why you hated FU's movie, but I still think that it was pretty harsh of you to have voted a flat out 0 on it.

I'm going to go ahead and give you a four. :)

Quote from: M.O.X;1663722Lawl. Nah, the ex is some other guy.

BTW Not an emo post, I just think it's kinda funny how people won't tell you things to your face but they aren't shy of flauting them online where people can easily find things out.
That wasn't emo at all, just the blunt (and hurtful) truth.

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about it Soup. Honestly, you deserve better than a two-timing bitch who posts her wild sexcapades on the Intarwebz.

Gaming & Technology / The Ballad of Gay Tony
September 09, 2009, 06:24:12 AM
Quote from: Koko the Apetheist;1663527GTAIV would have been great if it weren't all the god damn forced side-quests with Roman.

The same thing killed Dead Rising.
I don't think that Roman's missions were the nail in the coffin for GTA IV.

In fact, they were probably the redeeming part of the game (compared to the dull gloominess of Liberty City, not that it bothered me).

Also, I just got an email from Rockstar Propaganda and I saw the new trailer interviewing Anthony "Gay Tony" Prince. It wasn't that exciting compared to the last one, but it was still intriguing. With all of the dancing and nightclubs involved, I sure hope that there are (half-decent) dancing or bouncer minigames to play for some extra cash. The undergound fight club interests me as well, because in the trailer I saw Luis pull a new melee combo when attacking that fat dude.

In addition to that, the golf cart from Vice City is featured which possibly implies that the golf club melee weapon will also return and that the driving range in Alderney will actually be of use in a minigame.

EDIT: Is Saint's Row 2 really as good as people say that it is?

I've watched a few videos of Saint's Row and heard some swell comments about it, but then again the people who reviewed the Saint's Row series well also wrote scathing reviews Grand Theft Auto IV (which in my opinion is still the best game that I've ever played, ever).

The gameplay looks quite nice, although the deep character customization looks like it hurts the story more than it helps it.

Gaming & Technology / The Ballad of Gay Tony

Quote from: bunnyclock;1662099I hadn't even noticed that they are going to reintroduce that sparrow. Although it's not really a sea sparrow because it can't land on water : ( but yeah! This is looking great. I've got my hopes up
Point taken, I had another look at the trailer and the helicopter doesn't have pontoons so it's definitely the regular Sparrow.

I've also read that Rockstar plans to reintroduce the C4 remote satchel explosive charges (awesome) as well as the Rhino tank.

Quote from: EnglishClock;1663235Actually we already have a phoneclock, but I looked up his NG profile and he seems to be pretty useless.

So I guess it's yours. But the question is, can you bring honour to this name that the previous phoneclock could not? Well can you, punk? You'd better not let me down son.
Screw that guy, he ain't done shit since he joined.

Welcome to the Clock Crew, Telephone. :)

good job though
Yeah, same here. :o

I haven't ever played Dead Space, but I've read enough about it to have a general idea of what was going on.

That movie was excellent, just like FUClock P.I. and I'm glad that you posted the link here because otherwise I would have missed it.

@ TequilaClock: Yeah but there's a big difference between showing penises in a humorous way in flash movies and actually submitting pictures of it to the front page of Newgrounds.

It says that the author is Egoraptor, but I just can't believe it.

Don't people get b& on Newgrounds for this kind of stuff? And even if it was allowed I wouldn't want it on the front page.

I'd have blown the whistle if the damn things hadn't passed judgment already.

EDIT: Is Egoraptor a member of the Duck Division? I thought that he was above that kind of crap.

Gaming & Technology / [TF2] Free Hat for Non-Cheaters!

Quote from: Marlin Brando;1660631It's annoyingly effective against snipers trying to do surprise melees.

Which is like the only thing I'm a master at. Sniping, I'm good, but the kukri is an instrument of death in my hands, and the fan ruins that quickly.
Then why don't you play as the Spy instead of the Sniper is you like doing surprise melee attacks?

Gaming & Technology / My bad for bump. :(
September 06, 2009, 02:12:38 AM
Up until now, nothing has made me regret owning a PlayStation 3 (with the exception of the Team Fortress 2 Sniper and Spy update) than this. :(

That shit was insane and makes me want to play the regular Grand Theft Auto IV again (I stopped playing after the mission That Special Someone).

Anyway, I like how Rockstar is taking a more light-hearted approach to telling the story of Liberty City in The Ballad of Gay Tony compared to The Lost and Damned with the cool dancing, upbeat music, and crazy colours.

The content itself looks pretty good too, like hanging on to subway trains (probably a one time feature like hanging on to trucks in GTA IV), the new FN P90 submachine gun, the DAO-12 Street Sweeper automatic shotgun, the reintroduction of the Sea Sparrow helicopter complete with machine guns (from Vice City), as well as accessability to nightclubs, the ability to have cars with NOS (customization?), different costumes, and finally parachutes! (I have never played San Andreas but ever since I got GTA IV I've wanted to parachute down from the heavens over Liberty City like an angel instead of falling out of the dismal sky like a suicidal stockbroker).

Quote from: ShotgunClock;1656153I'm new here and I'm trying to make some flash submissions,I'm trying though,I just need some lessons.
Welcome to the Clock Crew, I hope that you enjoy your stay. :)

Like Flounderman said, go to the "Adopt a Clockling" thread so that you can hook up with an elder clock who can then guide and mentor you. There are plenty of flash tutorials around, a lot of which can be found here:

http://www.newgrounds.com/collection/flashtutorials.html

Although, a few of them may be out of date. Anyway, since you are currently still learning Flash (like myself) why not hang around the community and participate in some discussions?
