Messages - PortfolioClock

Dear Clock Crew,

Since I ran out of ideas for CC-related Flash since Clock Day 2013, I think my time as a Clock has come to an end. Therefore, I, PortfolioClock (a.k.a. "SuitcaseClock"), hereby resign from the Clock Crew due to prolonged absence.

I am pleased to say that it was an honor working with this community. And, although I may no longer be a Clock to this day, I will continue to give the Clock Crew and its work my support like I've been doing since 2005.

Thank you all and farewell!

There are millions of typefaces, but there is only one B.

---

Yours faithfully,
JDEzekude

Clock Crew News / CLOCKDAY 2013 IS COMING
July 29, 2013, 05:28:59 AM
Just a quick notice about my current status. I don't want to go too deep into detail, but I'll be moving into my own flat this week after residing in hospital for the past six weeks. I don't know if I'll be able to fit my computer in my tiny flat room, so I may not be able to submit my own Clock Day Flash this year.

Regardless, I'll be looking forward to watching everyone else's movies for this year and give them my votes! ;)

Strawberry Clock is the King of the Portal.

So I noticed...Well, coincidentally, the Neighbourhood Watch brought me here, so I thought I might as well watch it.

I love how you combined such a simple yet random plot with random animation and appropriate music to fit the scene. Nice.

I also laughed at the Mara cameo at the end!

Clock Day 2012 / PortfolioClock - Classical B

Well, here it is at last.

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/600953

I honestly thought that I wouldn't be able to submit this one on time, because, at the time, I didn't think there'd be internet cafés in Lido di Jesolo, Italy.

Anyway, when I get back, I'll be giving you all my 5s! ;)

Plus, with my review rights sadly revoked, I guess I won't have to worry about voting or reviewing on other Clocks' work anymore. So, this time, you'll all definitely get my fives! Every vote counts! ;)

Quote from: FlounderCyst;1840791You need to spend more time here, Suitcase.

I'll be studying at Teesside University starting October, but I'll definitely keep in touch here and there. ;)

Quote from: Governor William J. Le Petomane;1839363I :fifen:'d because it was fab-dabulous and I liked the part at the end where Peach exploded.

Thank you! The peachy bastard had it coming since he is second-in-command at the Lock Legion.

Quote from: PineappleClock;1839350Clockday is about coming together as a brotherhood of clocks and blatantly abusing the voting system of our gracious hosts to promote the message of StrawberryClock

5'ed

edit: yes I liked it!

OK, forget what I said earlier. As long as you liked it, I'm happy. ;)

Well, here it is at last! My long-awaited Clock Day 2011 contribution; Fist of the King of the Portal! A short 1-minute Flash film based on the critically-acclaimed martial arts series "Fist of the North Star" starring StrawberryClock as the mighty Kenshiro!

I hope you enjoy this short film as much as I enjoyed creating it. I especially enjoyed animating the famous "Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken (Hundred Crack Fist of the North Star)" even though it was challenging and time-consuming.

Anyway, happy Clock Day 2011 one and all! And remember, Strawberry Clock is the King of the Portal!

I don't know why he's king...He just is.

P.S. Thank you, AsshatClock, for the preloader!

P.S.S. Please do not vote 5 just because it's Clock Day. Please vote and review honestly based on whether or not it looks good and you enjoyed watching it. Thank you!

General Discussion / Fantasia: Road to Ambition
May 19, 2011, 08:56:24 AM
As promised, here is the opening sequence for my conceptual 2D fighting game "Fantasia: Road to Ambition." I created it using Adobe Flash CS5 for my final major project at Cleveland College of Art and Design (Green Lane Campus).

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/570245

This opening sequence was heavily influenced by several opening sequences for existing fighting games including "The King of Fighters '96" and "The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match."
I hope you enjoy watching this opening sequence as much as I enjoyed drawing and animating it!

Vote 5!

Once again, another great episode of this CC Success Stories with great animation and more hilarious ad-libbing with Pineapple and yourself (Pop-Tart)!

BB-10 sure did a great job with voice acting. I also love how you added a few in-jokes to exaggerate the length of BB-10's answer! Excellent job! You've earned my fives!

Quote from: Epic;1802431are going to be rather rare in this thread i assume :-> Anyway as long as i dont have a proper ng account i will post stuff in here. don't know why the preloader isnt working ( CS5 2010) but HEY ITS THERE! Based on real events. Enjoy.

I know this is several months late, but I loved Suitcase n' Blob, because I really like how you based it on real events for an accurate parody. I also loved how you used a direct quote from Blob himself. I look forward to future episodes.

DISCLAIMER: This conceptual game is not real and does not exist. You will not find this game in any shops, stores or on any shopping websites.

This is the animated opening for my conceptual fighting computer game titled "Fantasia: Road to Ambition."

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/566306

Fantasia: Road to Ambition will be a 2D fighting game featuring characters heavily based on numerous fairy tales (e.g. Snow White, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Red Riding Hood, etc.) The game will be created for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will be targeted towards teenage and mature audiences who have an appreciation for action-packed games.

The game will be set in the enormous futuristic fantasy world of Fantasia and its premise will revolve around a huge fighting tournament hosted by Prince Peter II of the Royal Family. All residents of Fantasia (including numerous fairy tale characters) are invited to participate. The winner of the tournament will proceed to take on Prince Peter II himself. If he/she defeats him, he/she will either go home with 10 billion Fantasy dollars or overthrow (or marry) the Prince.

The game will play as a traditional 2D fighting game with simple controls and principles (e.g. six-button control scheme). Each character will have their own personality, backstory and set of moves and special techniques to use in combat. Basic moves will require simple button combinations (e.g. directional button with punch button) while special techniques will require more complex button combination sequences. Finishing moves will require one or more EX bars to be full as well as specific button combination sequences.

The primary objective of the game will be to skilfully use attacks and techniques to deplete your opponent's health to zero before he/she does the same to you in order to win a round. The first player to win all rounds wins the match.

Character, environment and interface designs as well as development work can be viewed at my deviantART gallery:
