Quote from: sunglasses;1787981you have 1 good picture. the garden one (in the first post). all of the others need to be completely re-thought. it looks like you're not too in-touch with the balance of photos. the way you shoot them just makes them look too busy and aesthetically unpleasing. put more effort in your photos. also quit with the hdr, it makes you look like a try-hard.

I agree that my photos do look busy. I am putting effort in but I am also learning, which is why I made this thread, and the HDR's were tests, I'm just trying to broaden my horizion.

Nice, just one thing if you move the mouse quite quickly when pressing it skips out some of the pixels, I think a higher fps would fix this.

General Discussion / New Preloader!
October 04, 2010, 08:56:15 PM
Hey that's pretty good, but I'd suggest changing the guns a bit, they look out of place as they have an outline and not a lot in the preloader does.

Thanks :)

Here's the HDR tests I took, I'd say they get progressively better. I really hate the first 3.

New pictures (sorry for double post)

Mirrored - I took none of anybodies advice for this one as it was just a point and shoot moment.
Generic cityscape 1
Generic cityscape 2
Not quite so generic cityscape
Cloakroom Used manual focus for this one, didn't get tripod out though, and the lighting was pretty dark so the shutter speed was low so it was a bit blurred.
Emergency Tripod, but autofocus
Entry Tripod, manual focus
Balcony Manual focus
Stairs Tripod, autofocus
Skylight Neither

I've also got some HDR's to put up, but frogbag wont let me at the moment.

It's a bridge camera, not as expensive as most DSLRs but gives you full manual control.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind next time I take my camera out :)

Quote from: Satellite;1787203Gonna have to agree, some look a little blurry, do you use manual or auto focus?

Some good shots in there tho

Thanks, and a mixture, though for these I think it was auto focus, thinking back the shutter speed for the ones in the forest was around 1/15 so that could have been it too.

Quote from: LimewireClock;1787194Do you use a tripod to take pictures?
Thanks! And I used a tripod for the pictures that weren't in the forrest, but I think that's more to do with the editing of the photos as they still have a bit of blur on them. Or maybe they just weren't focused perfectly.

Quote from: LimewireClock;1787194Also nice HDR attempt, I can't seem to grasp it.
Thanks again, I just rested my camera on a rock for that, took picture one stop below, one normal, and one stop above then photoshop did the rest.

Hey clockcrew, long time!

I've done almost no flash or drawing for the last few months, but I did buy a new camera and took a few photographs, thought I'd throw them up here, any advice/criticism would be appreciated. And sorry in advance if this should be in the creative arts forum.

Quote from: DWARFINATOR;1727713what makes soldier so good?

The soldier can use any weapon which means you have yourself covered in most situations, It helps if you can get the research which allows you to use a biotic/tech power with it. Hardened adrenaline rush also severely helped me, after dying so many times from a random enemy I hadn't quite killed, that helped quite a lot to stop the damage and shoot them a few times.

Wow that was really good, 5'd.

That is the last phlash phandango, and I think a fair amount of people would participate if it was started again.

Pretty decent film, amazing special effects but the cheesy dialogue sort of ruined it a bit for me.
