mp3s dont work because of the way its encoded with information. (i think) that its the id3 tag stuff thats stored in the split second at the start and end of the audio clip. even without anything in the id3 its still there forever. wav files dont have it but they also have reduced sound quality


eg: if you listen to my sig, i looped the audio like 3 or 4 times in the mp3 and you can hear the cut where it repeats

actually, mp3 files are 'compressed' sound files. They cut off everything that can't be heard by the human ear (hence the small filesize). wav files don't do that. basically a wav file is to an mp3 like a bmp is to a png.

anyways, great find, that's some cool shit right there.

Alright, i always love doing stuff like that - watching my own and other peoples oldest or just generally old flashes. Back in the day, we had a huge amount of fun making flash (or at least I had) and now, to me, it kind of feels like chore but whatever.

Post your oldest clock flashes or just old ones. Actually, it doesn't even have to be related to the CC or other groups, i'd love to see some first flash attempts.

This is the first flash i have ever made, back in late 2003 or early 2004, i didn't know there was a CC forum so i just assumed that the name "bomb clock" (or boom clock) wasn't taken. I was wrong.

i think the problem with games nowadays is that they either try to be as visually pleasing as possible or that they're trying to have a story that is as elaborate as possible, without focusing on the game-play at all.

Kind of like a very well made DVD menu.

edit: also as far as sandbox games go, i was pretty satisfied with [prototype]
