Quote from: IronClock;1918761Most likely the ownership will shift to the entirety of the cc staff and not just one person. Also we have a grid thread for this so not sure why this is here
Quote from: RobClock;1918755I take it, then, that we're not using .cc's donation money to run it?

anyway i can chip in and we can also dip into the funds to help keep it afloat. also i vote to have crc maintain it along with me and clam and anyone else who can code a php or 2
Quote from: clockradioclock;1918633I didn't know Cloudflare worked so well.
hmm, is there any way we can increase revenue with this thing? Paid accounts for those who'd want them, ads at the bottom of direct-link pages (as illustrated here), some kind of chrome extension for easy uploads, a shorter URL that also acts as an advertising agent (eg: //frogb.ag (for $90/yr, yikes)), ????.
Quote from: clockradioclock;1918621Is shared hosting really capable of handling the # of requests you get? I always thought you'd need some kind of VPS or something more.
What kind of revenue are you currently generating with ads (if any)?
I hope my questions aren't too forward, but I assume it's important to get some numbers in so people can figure out how much of the cc funds they'll need to dig into per year.
I've offered to take up the project before, and I'm still up for it if anyone needs a hand with the code. I can help with PHP, Javascript (also Node and jQuery), HTML5, and CSS3. Myfrogbag is full of clock history and I'd hate to see it go.

Quote from: clammo;1891428tom isnt going to give you 200gb of server space. we didnt even have enough space to keep a backup of all 6 years of posts
Quote from: RibsClock;1891405I'd love to get it integrated with our library somehow and transferred over to the NG server and become our own personal bwahaha machine but I suspect that's a really, really complicated proposal
