I'm 24 now, 11 when I joined. I'm almost as old as I said I was when I joined when I was 11, I think I said like 27 or something? And a lawyer? Why the fuck did I ever want to be a lawyer, the law sucks.

probably the oldest old person job you could imagine

One day I'm going to insert Tricky the Clown into Schindler's List and upload it to a bunch of pirate sites

I wouldn't feel so bitter about Flash disappearing if there was a decent animation program to replace it

Learn Maya. It's great and if you loved how terrible and crashy Flash was, you'll definitely love Maya. Maya has a better excuse for being so crashy though, because it has so much more shit jammed into it. It's really good though, once you learn how to love/hate it properly.

South Park is animated entirely in Maya. It's super open too, so you can write your own scripts and stuff. I made a python script that would automatically generate secondary animation, you can see it in action here: https://youtu.be/B8sy5lUjXrM?t=49

Eventually I think I wanna do a facial motion capture rig for clocks. You could set it up so it would be purely driven by head movement and expressions, it would be wicked cool if only the audience wasn't so niche.

It's not out in the UK yet, and they're banning people's phones who try to play it.

I'm game. Really wanted to get into DnD for a long while, The Adventure Zone McElroy podcast really got me into it.

worth a shot oh well

No, you have to do it like this. PolyhedronClock is a worthless piece of shit, that is to say PolyhedronClock specifically and no one else. What an absolute bastard PolyhedronClock is.

I made half an undyne the other day. Well I actually did most of it a couple months ago.

It's nice when I remember I have a wacom stylus in my note 4. I do a lot of sketched while waiting at the doctors, but I try to do it sneakily a little bit because I don't know how much they care about people using phones but also fuck waiting for over an hour with whatever shitty ITV reality TV show they have.

I just played Ghost Trick, that was so good - some of the best 3d animation I've seen!

If I remember right, it's all actually 2D rotoscoped animation of 3d animation, or something. Anyway, yeah its really good.

Yup, that sounds about right.

The 2d look was great, but the 3d animation was really, really well done. The characters just have great motion that shows a lot of personality. Even little gestures were a treat!

Haven't played since a couple years ago when I got trapped on a train station after sitting on the wrong train, but one scene sticks out in my mind. I think it's two guards, and one does a little dance or something, I just remember that being amazingly well animated.

The Clock Crew was really an amazing abnormality that completely influenced my and decided huge paths of my life. I regret taking it for granted and being a shitty teenager during most of it. The Clock Crew is unique, and I don't think anything will ever be quite like it, though I'm sure the members are going to bring their experiences from interacting with everyone here into their lives wherever they are.

Archival is important, this Collab is good proof of that, it was like looking into a portal into 10 years ago. It's easy to forget the details.

Dunno if standardizing stuff would have been better. Part of the CC's charm was everyone had their unique take on the loosely defined world and characters within. Even though we shared so much, it still felt like every movie belonged to the creator, and organising is a bitch. Maybe we could've made something cool with strong leadership, but I don't know if that was ever what the CC was, it was really just a loose assembly of people who wanted to make stuff for each other for various reasons.

I've been wondering what the next CC is, what the next generation of kids wanting to make stuff is. It's probably tumblr communities now, which feels a bit vaster and colder to me than the CC was, but maybe that's just because I'm not super involved with it.

It's always strange bringing up CC to someone who's outside it, but I'm always proud to be part of it.

e: wasn't there a thing with archive.org archiving CC movies or something?

I'm watching it right now and I don't ever remember making a part for this so it'll be interesting when I get to mine.

EDIT: Oh my god, I remember making that, it's p bad.
