sorry to push this stuff on you again but we've got a costume design contest running for my Cartoon Hangover pilot and we don't have nearly enough entries yet. I turn to you, Clock Crew, in my time of need. Draw me a costume and I'll toss flour at your dick (in a sensual kind of way).
Hey you guys. I haven't been here for ages. How's it going? Are you looking forward to Valentine's Day? How's that yeast infection?
Ace Discovery, a thing that I wrote with a bud o mine, has been picked up by Frederator for their Cartoon Hangover youtube channel. We've just got money to do a pilot for now but if it does well we might get to make a series out of it. The facebook page for it has just gone up and you can follow it here. If you guys could spread it around that would be absolutely wonderful. There's gonna be competitions and videos and junk up there in the upcoming weeks so watch out.
I wrote a script for a short film and I'm sending it off on friday as part of a pitch and I want to make sure it reads well. It's 7 pages and moves fast so reading it won't be a huge job. If you're interested gimme yo email plz.
The combatants are all dropped from a helicopter at equidistant points throughout a tropical jungle. They are all unarmed but still have their non-lethal possessions. There's trees, a river, mud, hills and a locked up underground bunker like that one Jurassic Park only it's got guns in it. Who will win?
Dudes. I want to put Easy Way Out up on vimeo so I can have it on my portfolio site but I only have the swf. All my usual methods of video conversion aren't swf-friendly. Anyone got anything to suggest or want to do it for me? I'm on a mac so if don't suggest any PC only stuff unless you want to do it for me.
Sup dudes. I should be asleep because I start a new job tomorrow but fuck that. Here's an idea for a new Clock Crew holdiay.
Basically how it works is you pick any Newgrounds movie and do a shitty remake of it. Shitty can be interpreted any way you want, whether it's actually badly made, just misses the point or is done in a ham-fisted Hollywood remake kind of fashion. All I'd say is make sure it's an interesting take on it, no one wants to see a hundred generic spam movies. The movie you choose can be anything but it's kind of better if it's recent stuff or popular stuff because it'll be funny when Newgrounds kiddies look at the Portal and see it full of stuff they've seen already. Remaking something that was shitty in the first place as if it were a masterpiece you're paying homage to is pretty funny as well.
I don't know when the date of this would be. Some time when there isn't anything else going on.
I'm really bummed out tonight because it's looking like I'm not gonna have time to make anything decent for Clock Day. I really want to make something worthwhile because I didn't last year and this time it's the god-damn tenth anniversary. I don't know why I'm making a thread about this. I guess I feel like no one else will sympathise with my plight. Maybe I'll just talk into a microphone about stuff like this and then animate to it. Except that will be shit. Fuck.
I'm working on some shitty work at the moment and I need something to take my mind off it every time I have a little break which is very very often so let's play a fucking great game.
I don't know if this is a real game or not. Basically it's hangman but instead of drawing a shitty hangman when you guess a letter that isn't in the phrase, I'm gonna draw a picture of what the phrase is describing.
What a huge void of really dull, mediocre shit the world of videogames is. I just finished playing LA Noire and I thought that it was mostly really good. It had lots of problems but it was involving and unusual. Before that I think the last decent game I played was... Arkham Asylum maybe. I can't think of a game since then I thought was really worthwhile. The next game that looks worth investing any time is is Arkham City. That's pretty pathetic. A good game roughly every 6 months. Videogame companies need to get their shit together.
