Meet James Smith, an assiduous fore-bearer that strives to make ends meet as an American man in his 40's. He may be laid off from his job because of carpal tunnel. If he's laid off, his wife will divorce him and take custody of his only son Noah Smith. His son would be happy with his father out of his life, even though he paid thousands of dollars for his braces because his insurances deemed that as "Cosmetic", his son hates him because James cannot afford the latest video game that all of Noah's friends have.

But there is a silver lining, eight hours a day he can dream of a world where he's respected for his hardships and just being himself. But the dreams of James Smith are just that, dreams, or are they?

Will be happening on 11/23 in LA.  If you're in the area, go check it out.  I'm thinking of flying down myself for the festival, the whole festival looks pretty cool.

So some of you may have heard, I'm trying to do something very special for this year. Basically, I'm trying to get a group of Newgrounds alumni together to make a collaboration with a story. Basically, SBC's greatest villains finally realize that you cannot kill Strawberry Clock, so they all go to different dimensions in order to take them over.

These dimensions would serve as other flash artists worlds.  I know some flash artists care about continuity in their universe, and dimensional traveling would make it possible for SBC and one villain to interact with their characters and make it so other artists continuities wouldn't overlap with each others.

Basically, do you have any suggestions of who you would like to participate in this collaboration?  I'm trying to get at least five people.  So far I have two yes, one not sure, and one was interested in doing a cameo years ago.  These people would have to have been with Newgrounds for a long time, like at least 7 or 8 years.

So me and a group of friends will be in a 48 hour game jam (Molyjam) starting Friday night.  It takes place at IGN Headquarters!

From what I've been told, we'll be shown on a livestream (don't know when, there are other teams) while we try to slap together a game in 48 hours.  We'll be showcasing our games Sunday night then post it on Newgrounds sometime next week.  So if you're interested stop on by sometime.

If that isn't motivating enough for you to come check it out, we'll be getting pretty crazy I WILL be getting pissed off.

I'll post a link to the jam once it's live.

General Discussion / Pube Muppet Dies
July 23, 2012, 02:25:39 PM
I did one of the movies for this: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/599612

This allowed me to experiment quite a bit in flash and I think it wraps up my Pube Muppet series quite well. It was for Pube Muppet's 10th anniversary and my final PM movie.  Cyberen (Huge PM fan) brought me on board.

It's disappointing that so many people don't know how Pube Muppet is anymore. Judging by the score, people are unnecessary defending their heterosexuality even more than they did back then. Oh well, that's the internet for you. This is for the Pube Muppet fans back in the day after all, not your average NG doucebag. :)

Now to work on an original flash series completely devoid of McFarlane humor.

Gaming & Technology / Kobold's Quest!
September 04, 2011, 05:21:16 PM
Some good friends of mine are released a game on Xbox Live Indie Games. If you have a 360 and some points to spare, go get it!

http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Kobolds-Quest/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025855094d

I'll be helping them with the PC port (with online multiplayer) for this game and I'm slated to help them program for their next game.

I know XBLIG has a bad rep for having blatant clones of popular games and games with no effort put into them, but don't let a few bad XBLIG games ruin the whole experience for you. You have to look hard though.

Let me know what you think, positives and negatives and I'll pass them onto the guy in charge.

General Discussion / My unreleased game.
August 14, 2009, 09:38:24 PM
I made this game for my actionscript 3 class, starting way back in March of 2009, which got me an A for the class.  I thought it was good then, but looking at the code I wrote... it seems kind of... messy.  I would have improved the code and kept working on it and finish it, but there's two problems:

1. I always find glitches happening at random times.  They're very unpredictable and very hard to trace.

2. Flash CS4 lags when using the fla so much.  If I click on something, it pauses for 5 seconds before I can move it or do anything.  I lost my patience, and decided it wasn't worth it.  I heard CS3 was better and had no lag issues, but I haven't been able to convert it.

So let me know what you think, and if I should even bother finishing it.  It was a fun experience, but I really don't want to submit it after seriously testing it, and then find out when I submit it to Newgrounds someone falls through the wall in level 7 and I have no idea how it happened. It's based off of the Klungo game from Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.  You can find powerups and actually kill the enemies.

Space: Jump
Shift: Throw bottle (After you've gotten powerup)
Ctrl: Breathe Fire (After you've gotten powerup)
Up: Use Chainsaw (After you've gotten powerup)

Remember, this is a beta version, so not everything's gonna work correctly.

Also the reason that there's no music is because the fla file was slightly less laggier when I removed the music.  I don't know why.
