I need a network switch to go
(router)---->(switch)---->(PS3)
                |
                |
                V
             ( PC )

How much should I spend, I don't want any lag/delay and don't really know anything about switches.
I will only really be using one or the other at a time, but need to split the ethernet cable between these two devices.

General Discussion / Registering a domain?
June 28, 2013, 02:08:22 AM
So I was thinking i wanted to dick around with making a website. It would basically just be a personal website.

Know any good places to register a domain? Anything I should look out for? Anyway to get a neat custom email with the domain?

It's about a guy who finds a ring that dresses him like a girl so he can fight crime with slaps and lipstick. Also he has a dad who hates the girl-version of him without knowing Shezow is actually his son. Animation is pretty meh. The humor seems to be mostly pun-based

Glad to see they added in more biomes that Dust and Junk. Apparently if you preorder you get free access to the 5th class once they finish creating it. I just hope the Siren class plays as fast as the one in Borderlands 1.

Who else is getting it? We should all play together.

General Discussion / Usenet, anyone?
August 23, 2012, 03:17:48 PM
Demonoid is down for good it seems. I have been looking into Usenet as a replacement lately, anyone here ever use it before? How much content is on it, how easy is it to use? What Usenet service provider is a good choice?

Click here for the comparison view from newegg, they both end up being the same price after various deals.

I'm leaning towards ASUS because I trust them more than Acer. I also like the look of it more, It also has more reviews and a customer choice award. I'm paranoid about dead pixels but that's always a crapshoot, though ASUS has a better policy on dead pixel monitor returns.

The ASUS has 2ms refresh as opposed to the 5ms refresh of the other.
The ASUS has no LED backlight whereas the Acer does.
The ASUS has a 100,000:1 contrast ratio as opposed to a 100,000,000 contrast ratio.

Considering these points, which would you recommend and why?

By the way, I plan on using this for gaming not movies. I'm guessing you want response time for gaming, contrast for movies, and LED for both?

EDIT: from what I've read there is basically no difference between 2ms and 5ms.
EDITEDIT: Turns out the numbers for contrast are bullshit too, The ASUS has about 1050:1 static contrast while the Acer has 600:1

I've never done any overclocking before but I heard this program makes it simple. Any tips to keep my hardware safe?

If I'm testing my GPU with furmark, it is safe to let it get high enough that it crashes, or can this damage my card? I haven't let it get past 75C yet because i'm kinda paranoid.
