Reading and Writing / whats this shit?

Beebles you suck at writing.

...

I remember the first time I smoked. Not the first time i smoked, but the first time I smoked smoked. I was hanging out with two of my friends, Eamonn and Adam. I started hanging out with these guys about six or seven months ago, when I was fired from gamestop for not getting the managers jokes. Eamon and Adam are two sides of my personality. Not literally - but they have come to represent two aspects of me.

Eamonn is my self depricating, moody, depressed side. his favorite colour is black, listens to tool, and hero worships richie james. Adam is my weird side. He carries an umbrella, listens to 'the knife' and 'teenage jesus and the jerks'. he bursts into monologues and spouts poetry at wildly inapppropriate times. I rarely approach the extremities of either, but often I see reflections of myself in their behavior.

Anyway - this is one of those days where my bank balance is several cents smaller than the smallest note an atm will give out. I cant afford coffee. Eamonn is going through a breakup so he was in the college library drawing pentagrams at 9 in the morning. I meet him there and we wander into town to see if anyone is about. Adam meets us somewhere along the way. Adam has always smoked because it makes him feel cool. Eamonn doesnt smoke anymore, but has taken it up again so he can talk about self harm and richie james.

We eventually wander into the belfry. The belfry is a snooker/sports bar equipped with a smoking area with outdoor heaters. Eamonn offers me a cigarette, and I take it. Not so much because i want to smoke - kind of too say 'Hah, see what happens if you offer me one?'. Adam grins. 'One of us huh?'

I smoke the cigarette. slowly, but i pride myself on not coughing or anything non smokers do when suddenly confronted with inhaling a noxious cloud of burnt leaves. Of course, eamonn offers again, and again every time he lights up. I graciously accept each despite disliking the taste, the bite on the tounge of these john players blue brand sticks. Conversation is lingering around the usual pseudo-intelllectual shit we go on about - music, philosophy, girls, 'less than zero', life the universe etc.

Of course, I bought some of my own the next day so I wouldn't be seen as a leech.

and the next time I ran out.

and the next.

and the next.
