Hey everyone,

A guy a know and a bunch of others I don't have started this animation competition/showcase called Loop De Loop. Not sure if you guys know about it already (I may have posted about it a little while ago). Anyway, the details are here but the gist of it is, every month a new theme is posted, you submit any kind of animated loop to do with that theme, people vote online and then all the entries are screened in a bar here in Melbourne, Australia at the end of the month. The prize for the winner is a DVD or something similar, but it's more about the actual showcase rather than winning.

Anyway, just thought I'd pop back here and let you guys know about it!

I believe I am coming back to you babies. I've bookmarked the forums and will come by every so often. I will also try to pump out a clockday flash this year or something else cool with the skillz ive gotten over the last 2 years at my graphic design job/animation course (which has so far been a waste of money/time except ive met some pretty cool cats so I guess thats ok).

I'm making a flash wabsite, and I need a gallery kind of thing. Its gonna be a scrolly gallery with the images being loaded from an external folder which the client can then change when they need to, so the images would be named something like "1.jpg" "2.jpg" etc. So all they need to do is put a new image in there and rename it, and the swf will be all like "chill".

It doesn't need to be anything too fancy, maybe just a few fades or something, I can probably try to do that if you cant. So yeah, if you're interested, send me a PM or e-mail me or something. I will pay $$$ so there is some incentive there too

At some kind of graphic/web design interactive digital solutions type company in my city! I'm currently on a trial and I gotta work on some assets for an iPhone/iPad app that they are making. Let's hope I get a part time job from them once this is through. I shall let you know how this goes! (probably not)

Also my animation course is going pretty well, we haven't touched on flash yet, but I've been learning all the basics of After Effects and Pro Tools which is handy, and we've been doing a bit of digital painting. Cool stuff.

So guess what guys, I finally finished 13 years of schooling, and recently had 3 interviews for uni. One was an animation course, the other was an animation/web design with a whole bunch of other useless shit thrown in, and the other was a games graphic design course.

Yesterday, I got letters from all three courses (all from the same uni) saying I had been offered a place. So after this great news, I decided to do the pure animation course as it actually finishes in me getting a qualification, unlike the animation/web design course.

I'll let you all know how I get along with it and will post my shit up here. Thanks clock crew for teaching me and introducing me and guiding me through animation.

Is anyone attempting to grow a moustache this November? Do you even do November in the US/Netherlands?

Most of the clock crew that CAN grow a beard/moustache already have one. The rest haven't reached puberty yet.
