If you have 15 minutes, this is a really good short movie. A guy wins the lottery, you guess what happens next.

(kind of nsfw by the way, their is some nudity in the background, like pictures posted on a wall and so on, and there is blood and stuff)

And apparently he still is fucking awesome. The ending of the interview is pretty goddamn funny.

So, the smilies drop down doesn't display correctly in Google Chrome. So you can't even get the little menu popup that has them all. That is all.

Entertainment / Lost Finale

Wow. That was. Wow. Even if you have negative thoughts toward this show. It really is breathtaking; everything that they did. It ended perfectly. Despite all the unanswered questions that still linger, it was, to say the least, wow.

Any thoughts?
The going out with Jack's eyes closing (in contrast to the beginning of the entire show, which starts with his eyes opening), really touched me. I only wish Eko was there.
General Discussion / The New iPhone Design
April 19, 2010, 02:59:05 PM
http://gizmodo.com/5520164/this-is-apples-next-iphone

QuoteWhat's new
• Front-facing video chat camera
• Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
• Camera flash
• Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
• Improved display. It's unclear if it's the 960x640 display thrown around beforeâ€"it certainly looks like it, with the "Connect to iTunes" screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
• What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
• Split buttons for volume
• Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic

What's changed
• The back is entirely flat, made of either glass (more likely) or ceramic or shiny plastic in order for the cell signal to poke through. Tapping on the back makes a more hollow and higher pitched sound compared to tapping on the glass on the front/screen, but that could just be the orientation of components inside making for a different sound
• An aluminum border going completely around the outside
• Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS (but seemingly higher resolution)
• Everything is more squared off
• 3 grams heavier
• 16% Larger battery
• Internals components are shrunken, miniaturized and reduced to make room for the larger battery

Looks awesome and it looks like the people are finally getting what they wanted with the front-facing camera and stuff.

Gaming & Technology / New Steam Client Beta
February 24, 2010, 09:47:11 PM

http://kotaku.com/5478673/steam-gets-a-makeover-with-all+new-ui-new-open-beta-starts-now

QuoteValve has revealed its plans for a brand new version of Steam, its digital distribution and social networking service. And it's letting Steam users test its long list of new features out, starting today.

The visual and functional update to Steam includes an expanded Friends List, letting players keep closer tabs on what their Steam buddies are playing, and an aggregated news feed, helping PC gamers stay informed without having to visit fancy web sites or RSS readers for their video game news fix.

There are also sharp looking UI improvements, both for the Steam client and the game overlays, plus some great "Library Wrangling." The custom categories one can apply to one's Steam game library does sound nice, Valve. Thanks. There's a longer list of everything that's new at the official announcement.

If you want to opt-in to the public beta (which may be experiencing some birthing pains right now) you can do so from within your current version of Steam. Hit up Valve's official Steam site to learn more and see the new UI in pretty pictures.

(Oh, and if you've somehow found your Steam friends list has been deleted, you're not the only one. That may be tied to the changes Valve is making, but we'll check in.)

Looks pretty cool to me. Still a bit buggy, but it's overall really nice. Except maybe for some abrupt gradients.

To opt-in you just go to your steam settings and under beta it'll have the new client update thingy.

Entertainment / The Terrordactyls
February 23, 2010, 07:30:40 PM
While watching MTV (i know what a prude) I came across this pretty cool band called The Terrordactyls. They use lots of kazoo and toy piano. It sound a bit like Flight of the Conchords.

The only place I can find right now that has music that you can listen too free is http://www.lala.com/artist/The_Terrordactyls

They have a site here: http://www.terrordactyls.com/

Also all their albums and store stuff is pretty awesome like a popup CD case and you can get a custom made hand turkey and some kazoos and awesome posters. check it out y'all.

Necrapolis / An Open Letter to TremcladClock
November 02, 2009, 04:24:06 PM
To TremcladClock,

TorchClock (“I”, or “Me”) knows we may have our differences, but what you have done to Me was unspeakable. On the evening of Clocktober 31st, 2009 I was offering support to a Clockfan in need. I had been guiding them in how to transfer a phone number to another phone. Yet in the process TremcladClock (“You”) banned Me from using the services of the Clock Crew forums (“Website”) for a full day from twenty-one hundred hours EST on Clocktober 31st, 2009 to twenty hundred hours EST on November 1st, 2009. When You banned Me you left a message saying the reason for the ban was because I was ‘Far too funny’. I have consulted a legal representative on this matter, and the legal representative determined that there was no law prohibiting being ‘far too funny.’ From this I can derive only one possible reason for the ban; You are racist. I am of German and Swedish descent. Looking at Your Clock Crew profile, it states under Your username ‘Großartiger Aufseher.’ This can be translated to ‘Grand Overseer.’ As we all know, this is the definition of a dictator. Adolf Hitler was a Nazi dictator. Therefore, through the transitive property, You are a Nazi. This shows that You are biased to banning people who are not Aryan (in Adolf Hitler’s definition of the term) for no reason. This is why I ask You to step down from the position of ‘Super Moderator.’ You have clearly abused Your power by banning people when they have not broken a set of clearly defined rules. I expect to receive your resignation letter by Wednesday, November 4th, at twenty-three hundred hours and fifty-nine minutes. If you refuse to resign, I will speak to your superiors about this matter.

Sincerely,

  TorchClock

For awhile now, I've been thinking of this huge project that would be of incredible use to you guys and future clocks. Recently, I was able to make some decent progress with it.

It's basically an elaborate system that will archive any flash movie on Newgrounds, or more importantly: clock movies. You simply enter the Newgrounds URL into a form, and our site will do the rest. It'll grab important information (such as the author, the date submitted, and the icon itself) and store it in a database. This obviously allows quick & easy sorting through the submissions, as opposed to the archaic search system on Newgrounds.

We named it "Clockfeed" for now. If you guys like the name, then we'll keep it. If you have suggestions, feel free to post them. It's currently in very early beta stages, and is being worked on as I type this post. A simple submit form is in the works and will be completed by tonight. Other issues remain, however, and they will be resolved as this project continues.

Now, I need your help. This project is too big for weenie roast and I. He's scripting most, if not ALL of the entire project. We could really use several beta testers and debuggers to help sort out any issues and problems that may arise. If you'd like to help, then reply to this thread. I'll contact you further, and grant you administrative abilities.

Another thing, this project could really use some funding. weenie roast is currently out of a job, and does stuff like this to make a living. Any donations would really really REALLY be appreciated, as it would help him pay off some overdue bills. So if you could, please do!

Just post your email and I'll invite you.

I need to do a clean install of my computer no matter what, it's sluggish and ugh. I backed up everything, but I have no idea what I should install. XP Home, Vista Ultimate, or Win7? I was thinking I would maybe go to Vista so that incase Microsoft has that $50 upgrade to Win7 deal again, I could take advantage. Any suggestions?

(Also by free, I actually mean the DVD genuine, not torrented or stuff, my mom's friend bought it from a garage sale for one dollar, the thing wasn't even opened.)
