you missed an era when people would have some gripe about the way people were running the clock crew, and start their own cc forum

obviously the benevolent vcrclock dictatorship has solved all that
lmao forum drama was so stupid

Kabuu and her unnecessary pimply ass pic

DodgerClock and being fat and annoying

Elements and being a overall weirdo / Silent Hill fanatic

DarkAchron and stubbornly refusing to cop to misspelling his name / overall idiot

Banana being an annoying rich boy and the whole Lock Legion thing

the split between CC and WTFNOOB

what others am i forgetting

i dont remember doing such a thing...
also, MFC, i believe that i've promised that: ''i shall stop being annoying'', so, i will keep my promise.

however, we can collaborate on a flash game, if you want.
i remember you saying something about an interactive iron-clock (mexiclock) game, it seemed funny.

You seem to be socially stunted in some kind of way so I'm going to lay it out very simply for you. Let's pretend you knew a whole circle of people that you believed to be your friends. All of these people got together and discussed whether they wanted to keep you around or not. The very idea that they'd have to discuss something like that about you should clue you in that frankly, these people are not your friends. Why would you want to keep sticking around? Seemingly, the only thing keeping your balls out of the fire is a matter of ethics. Are you a bad person? No. But are you fun to chill with? No. We've all known annoying people. We don't obligate ourselves to be around them and yet here you are obligating everyone to your presence.

Take a hint.

EDIT: did this jabronie seriously message people's bosses

wow that's crazy. i can't believe it's been a decade since i made that little piece for this collab. if it weren't for blackberry clock mentioning my name in the original post i don't think i would have even remembered i participated. time flies.

looking back at the art style i was carrying in my flash videos then, i remember i was obsessed with accomplishing a realistic look. every background i worked on took a painstakingly long time. i even remember trying to draw power outlets on the "sets". and that paris hilton reference is so dated! i like that it puts my contribution in a very specific time and place.

but enough kissing my own ass. i'm probably not going to post in any more threads so i'll just do all my waxing poetic right in this post, if no one minds. you do mind? well go fuck yourself.

i honestly think about the clock crew probably once or twice a year, if that. thinking about what the clock crew was back then gives me this warm fuzzy feeling. YouTube wasn't yet a big thing, Instagram wasn't a thing at all (probably, I don't care enough to go to the Wikipedia page to find out) and social media hadn't quite kicked into full swing. as content creators, we weren't animating for a high number of views to get a cut of profits from Google, nor were we trying to pimp ourselves to get exposure and acclaim as artists. the inherent anonymity behind the clock avatars guaranteed it.

it was for the love, fam. we were teenagers (and probably a lot of pre-teens too) with pirated copies of Macromedia Flash and too much time on our hands. it was so pure, and fun. there were no real constraints other than our imaginations and the sky was the limit.

but the lack of constraint has its drawbacks too. now that i'm in my late twenties and getting involved in the film industry i feel like we could have standardized a lot of things (or is that the Hollywood in me talking?).

for instance. what if the Clock Crew had had a character bible? laid out the backgrounds and personalities of the more popular and central Clocks in a concrete canon, ie. Orange Clock is ALWAYS a can't-lose Bugs Bunny type hero? Banana Clock is ALWAYS a wealthy young egomaniac who spends large sums of money purposely to annoy others?

actually i think that's an accurate description of who bananaclock is/was.

or let's say, an established look for what Strawberry Clock's throne room would look like? not just for canon but for brevity? i would have gotten behind someone defining iconic looks and locations in Clocktopia.

i've rambled on enough. forgive me if someone has brought up these ideas before, i didn't exactly check to see if someone had. i'm baked and up way too late. good to see you guys. especially my man Slurpee right there.

good points.

some parts of this are similar to my views about the current state of the clock crew.

with one vital difference: we MUST fight for this crew to survive.
and we MUST adapt to new enviroments, if we wanna last any longer.
also we need new members.

I agree. This is very close to the way I see the Clock Crew today.

One very important thing must change, though. We need to recruit new people.

In addition to that, we must be able to evolve with the internet if this group is to continue. Let's not forget that we'll have to battle for its survival.

Anyone concur?
