The only way you're going to be able to do this, unfortunately, is to buy a capture card for your computer and record the replay to your PC as it plays on the PS3. The reason is that when games record replays in this style, they don't record video data, they record the game data and recreate the match/race/whatever when you go to watch it.

I stream on twitch.tv and such so I have some experience with this stuff. If you really want to record gameplay footage enough to invest in it, I recommend the Elgato Game Capture HD or the new HD60. I use the regular HD and even with stream compression my footage ends up looking pretty good. If this was pre recorded footage rather than streamed it could be perfect 1080 without all that compression, but that's really a limitation of my internet rather than the device.

Does anyone here know where I can find this text-to-speech?

Quote from: Clocktopus;1977052Yeah I honestly wished they had made it harder. My prediction is they'll be harder in the Wii U version since they mentioned the challenges being tougher in that one.

Am I the only one that hates having to unlock characters in a fighting game?

Added, feel free to add me back. 2552-1761-6312

I definitely notice significant input lag when trying to play clocks from Europe so I'm not sure how well some of us could play. If any American or Canadian clocks feel like getting stomped, I will oblige.

I've been hearing about these series for years now and they don't seem to be getting any less popular. Guess it's time I see what all the fuss is about.

ehehehe

I just added a bunch of clocks that I hadn't gotten around to adding before. Vuvu, Tequila, Abbazaba, Screwdriver, and Lump have yet to add me back though. If any of you have the game, feel free, 2552-1761-6312.
Also yeah slurps we should smash too but I don't think you've shared your code.

Quote from: IronClock;1976898I lag like hell during online, even 1v1

Seeing how I just wrecked you 5 times in a row with little to no lag, it's either on your end or the people in your region for general matchmaking have sub-par connections.

Quote from: AstronautClock;1976878I dont think I've played against good little macs yet then. because all the ones I played against I had no trouble with.

Quote from: BilliardBall10;1976876i recall making fun of the brawl, and now we play the brawl?
odd.

is it enjoyable?
who is the best character, and whats best, the single campaign, or the multiplayer?

It's very enjoyable if you like Smash Bros gameplay. Having portable Smash is pretty great.
The game has been out far too short a time to determine what characters are best or strongest.
On the 3ds version, there is no "campaign" of sorts, at least not like melee or brawl had. You still have the classic "arcade" style mode, the all stars mode, the various challenge modes, and a new mode called Smash Run, but I'd say the 3DS version is about the multiplayer really. The online is surprisingly good this time around; I haven't had a single laggy match all day. A few with some hiccups maybe, but every match was playable.

Quote from: SoBe Clock;1976874A properly played Little Mac isn't going to just let you do that. I think he's definitely a character that shines in "for glory" mode and suffers in "for fun"

Also did I show you guys my new mousepad? I don't think I did.

I spent my time with the game today just unlocking all the characters and stages. It took several hours but I just finished. It's far too soon to tell who will end up being my main character but Robin surprised me with how good he/she is.

Yep it's bronchitis. Whenever I get sick it's always bronchitis.

Except that one time last year when I got the flu...

which led into bronchitis.

Dat transition halfway through. Good lord.

I seriously just think Halo 2 had the best soundtrack of any video game ever. I come back to it constantly. I really hope Marty finds another job with someone in the industry. It'd be cool if a company like Blizzard or Retro Studios picked him up.

I still think ODST had the best soundtrack of the series. One of the best ever.
Seriously, that song I posted on the last page, if you haven't really listened to it, go do. It's fantastic.

If you go into this knowing it's a dynamic theme, where the song changes between the different parts depending on the context of how the fight is going, its really good. I fucking love Killer Instinct.

Pretty sure I have either bronchitis or an upper respiratory infection. I feel like death. Ugh

I actually think Mega Man is probably the most successful translation of a character into a smash game. Everything from what he does to how you use him feels quite a lot like playing a classic mega man game. His moves and animations feel remarkably faithful to the original games, and Mega Man has always been about playing keep-away against bosses. His style in this game is very much "keep them out until I'm ready to kill them."

If his specials were any more powerful than they are he'd probably be grossly overpowered, considering his armament of ranged A-moves. Some things you may not know about his moves though, after pressing neutral b, immediately tilt the circle pad in the direction you want to throw the sawblade and he will angle the shot. His side b's bomb can be transfered between characters if they bump into each other. His up-tilt is probably a better kill move than his up smash at close range, seriously, try it. Leaf shield makes for a good approach option if your opponent is blocking or reflecting your projectile game. You can grab with the leaf shield on, so short-hop > leaf shield > land dash grab seems to be a pretty solid way of getting in. Down throw into uptilt for a potential K.O.

I'm still doing lab work here but he seems much stronger than he looks at face value. I have a feeling he will end up having strong safe approach setups eventually along with his godlike zoning.

Quote from: FloundermanClock;1975580Anyone watch Gravity Falls this week? Bill Cipher is the best character ever.

This is why I had to buy a grip for my 3DS. It seems like the same basic size as the DS Lite but it cramps my hand so bad without the grip. I'm holding out on upgrading until this comes out though.

I'll only be getting one of the "new" line of 3ds if they end up releasing a "new" 2ds variant eventually. I am in love with this thing, the form factor is perfect.

I switched from 3DSXL to 2DS today. This is by far the most comfortable handheld I've ever used, specifically, the only DS to not cramp the shit out of my hands. I'm never going back to other DS models.

Time to get some SMT games.
