Quote from: FloundermanClock;1975340If you can ONLY get SMT games released on Nintendo systems in america, I'd get Strange Journey (DS) and SMTIV (3DS). Strange Journey has the best plot and atmosphere next to Nocturne but SMTIV has perfected the demon and battle system. If you're willing to play a fantranslation of the SNES games you should start with this website's translations. The proper order is 1 -> 2 -> Nocturne -> Strange journey -> IV. Playing them in that order gives more impact to the events but they're all pretty self contained so it won't ruin it to skip around. Still try to play Strange Journey before IV if those are all you get though.

Then there's a bunch of spinoff series like Persona, Devil Summoner, Devil Survivor, etc, but they don't intersect so much so you can play them whenever, or not at all. Soul Hackers is kinda neat though and that's on 3DS.

Alright thanks for the advice.

I know there are a few SMT fans here. If I were to get into the Shin Megami Tensei series now, with Nintendo platforms only, no Playstations, what games should I get and which order should I play them in?

So I've been remarkably busy over the past week or so, and unfortunately I didn't get to see most of the clockday movies on clockday. Instead of bumping each thread though I'll just post here to say I've gone back and watched nearly all of them and fived accordingly. Loved the content this year, I just wish I could have been there for it.

For me it's kind of a tossup between Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters.

Quote from: RobClock;1973138How come I never hear anybody bring up Oro when they talk about Street Fighter characters? I love this guy's design.

Yeah Oro is pretty great and a lot of people like him but nobody is talking about him because he isn't in any current fighting game. Not in USF4, UMvC3, or SFxT so he isn't exactly a hot topic.

That being said, USF4 could seriously use some Oro.
