If editing is just slapping video files together, I was about to buy FinalCut anyway

What are the odds of getting SWF specs for those heroic bastards who want a Flash file version

I REPEAT, DO YOU THINK ELLECT TO BE THE EDITOR!???

General Discussion / Clockmas 2017 PLANS
September 12, 2017, 05:09:41 PM
I honestly have no clue if you clocks will allow me to do all this, but I might as well take my chances.

About a month ago I made a forum thread regarding a Christmas collab.

Now I have everything layed out, I'm just gonna need some help.

Let's begin

What YOU need to make

Just make a cartoon of your clock receiving a present, opening it, finding out that the present is awful(Like offendingly awful) , and then thank the clock that "gave" you the present(feel free to then call that clock an offending name).

Your cartoon must be made on a 16:9 canvas.

What animation software you use doesn't matter

Make sure you leave your newgrounds or Clock Crew username in one of the corners of the frame.

Please make sure that you convert your toon into a .mov file please!

Now, you're probably left with with a lingering question.

How do I enter my toon into the collab?

Well, that's where we're gonna need more help.

EDITOR WANTED!

We need somebody who can accept pm's of the entry's and then compile all of them together!

Just simply reply to this thread saying that you can help and then you've got the job(No, you're not getting paid. What do you think the CC's made of money?)

Also, is there a chance we'll be able to get this (A) to be an OFFICIAL Clock Crew Collab and/or (B) be able to post this on the Clock Crew Newgrounds Page ( http://clockcrew.newgrounds.com ) which has been quite barren since 2015?!

As well as that, are we also gonna be able to earn some medals off of this collab?

Whatever.

So, with that being said...get animating!

Deadline ends DECEMBER 1ST PEOPLE MARK YOUR FREAGIN' CALENDARS,

those are some really nicely drawn couches.

surprisingly, the CC movies had a great lack of couches, a void which shall be (now) filled by you!

good job, redbook-clock!

I saw the message you sent me on newgrounds BB10, and yes- I would love to become an official clock!

I made a movie on clock day if that counts.

Either way, I'm surprised nobody received anything.

we call it Clockmas around these parts.

If you want to start a collab, it's usually best to have some kind of specifications done up. Like 1280x720 stage, 24 fps, Flash ___ compatible .fla, and a theme or premise beyond just the setting of Christmas, like 'everyone receives a ridiculous/goofy/dangerous gift, animate your clock getting theirs'

Stage Size: When we get an animator in this, we'll let that person decide which size he/she's comfortable with.
FPS: 20fps is preffered
Story: A certain clock (Which clock is unknown as of now) steals all the presents. Meanwhile, a clock hater comes and finds out that the clocks are fighting amongst one another over who stole them. The hater uses this to his advantage and attempts to divide the group over hatred...thus ending the clock crew-and it works! However, there is a trio of friends once apart of the crew who seek for a solution... Trying to bond back together the crew...

...

...

...that's the story for now.

Is that enough detail?

I noticed that this community is seemingly spending more time makeing weird forum posts with one another than actually making cartoons like they used to.

So...

...Wanna get back to making cartoons like the clock crew used to?

I'm thinking since Christmas is a few months away we could squeeze out a holiday toon.

Who's with me on this?

Ignore the title...

I'm also on new grounds ( www.boxerbraydog.newgrounds.com )

'Twas the 15th of August last year when I discovered the clock crew

Clock day.

I uploaded a crappy animation about MS paint to newgrounds the night before.

I log on in the morning and find that someone by the username of TOXICITY reviewed my video and gave it 0 stars.

Yet somehow my hunk of junk video got passed the judgement period...so what happened?

I read the review.

He stated that he hated the video and that the video had virtually no content.

I agreed.

At the bottom of his review he said this,"But you chose Clock Day, you obviously know what you're doing".

In reality I had no clue what I was "doing" and didn't even know what clock day was.

I did some research and found out that this was a day for new grounds where users were obligated to vote 5 on everything they see and hear.

To put it in simpler terms...I got EXTREMELY lucky

Now I'm here.

Fun fact: While I was thinking of what to name myself on here, someone was cooking toast.

When the toaster popped, it came into my mind that I should name myself "ToastClock"

Then I realised there was Waffles in the toaster

...

WaffleClock it is!
