I really loved The Neverhood. Probably my favorite point and click adventure game ever (liked it even more than Monkey Island). And now we have a chance at a real sequel! And by "real sequel" I am obviously excluding that piece of shit platformer Skullmonkeys.

I really hope this game gets made and keeps the spirit of the old game. As with all kickstarts, though, there's that voice in the back of my mind always wondering "what if they just take the money and don't make the game...?"

Partnership with EA, nothing but crappy sports game rehashes and racing games shown. No actually rendered game play, only prerendered. Nothing new or interesting yet.

A lot of clocks have been playing Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition on PC lately. BlobClock, ButtplugClock, SobeClock, and myself have been playing a lot. Looks a lot better than Dark Souls, that's for sure. It's not the best graphics ever but still damn good for a console game and a big step forward. I'm happy to see they're using the same engine again which means the gameplay mechanics we know an love (backstab, reposte, rolling) aren't going anywhere. There looks like there are some interesting knew enemies, too. Some big guys who you can't just beat by backstab fishing is refreshing. I was kind of worried before that the new director wouldn't be able to keep the Dark Souls spirit alive and would casualize the shit out of it, but this video has dissuaded all of my worries.

edit; To clarify, in the united states the only part of the gun that is actually legally controlled and considered the actual gun is the lower receiver, which you can now print. As for the rest of the gun, you need to mail order that for now, but you'll be able to print the rest shortly.

I gotta admit, I like the look of the new controller. Looks pretty comfy to hold, and the joysticks look pretty formfitting

Specs:
86x processor, 8 cpu cores, 8GB ddr5 ram. Has USB and obviously can play bluerays. Looks like you can probably use PS3 controllers with it.

Can't find any info on the graphics card, but probably pretty damn good if it's in line with the other parts.

The demo of MGR:R is out on the play station store, and the game is going out on Feb. 19th.

I had tons of fun in the demo. I like how you can pretty much instant-kill mooks if you have energy (the demo starts with all of the upgrades unlocked, so the cutting won't be as overpowered in the real game as it is in the demo). I'm really happy to finally see a game where I can actually feel like a crazy samurai badass that cuts things and people in half like it aint no thing. As a bonus, the bosses look pretty creative, with interesting gimmicks, as to be expected from a Metal Gear game. And the combat feels pretty fluid. My only complaint is that the parry mechanic is a little hard to use, but by the end of the demo I was already getting used to it and pulling it off consistently.

I'm definitely buying this on release night. My only concern is that the gameplay will get stale over the course of an entire game. Especially since they're pretty much garunteed to start sending regular enemies that can't be killed in blade mode by the half-way point. The cutscenes are over the top and stupid looking, but to me it just looks like a hilarious mockery of Shonin anime, and references to characters like Goemon Ishikawa XIII and Sasaki KojirÃ...s. There's even a scene in one of the trailers that mirrors some scenes in Lupin III. Good shit.

Anybody worried about how their IPs will turn out now that they're sold everything? Can Koch Media do justice to the Saints Row franchise? Will somebody buy Darksiders? (currently unsold)

Apparently Platinum Games is hiring some of the folks from THQ. Specifically, "Vigil Games", which made Darksiders.

EDIT: Late breaking news; Atsushi Inaba from Platinum tweeted that he's interested in buying Darksiders. This might be the best thing that ever happened to the series.
