General Discussion / My first ever completed flash!

Quote from: RobClock;1921434Nice first go, Paige.

So you know her by name, huh Rob? I think we all know who her friend is.

It's StrawberryClock, of course. He is everyone's friend.

Quote from: VuBawlsClock;1920828This has nothing to do with PTF, but what if you went to the future, and in that future, you went to the past, so when  you get out of time traveling, you're really in the past even though you went to the future.
If you go into the past when you're in the future, basically you're just returning home in the present.

This is going to be my reaction when I finally get to see your mind-blowing collab part, ZL.

This is the culmination of centuries upon centuries of perfecting the very concept of art, Sir Lincoln of Zombies. Astronaut says he should be done tomorrow, but even then I forbid him to watch your hint.
#24
AstronautClock and ZombieLincoln both said that their parts should be done this weekend. Hopefully I won't have to go up to them and shake their collab parts out of them before the weekend's done. If you two are around and reading this, please let everyone know what have you guys been up to.

Too bad PirateClock doesn't show up anymore. He'd be pleased to see this. Nothing beats a good old trippy trip in outer space.

5 for you.

I agree with all. This was a great Clock Day. A bit small compared to some, but while we didn't have a lot of movies, what little we had was great Clock Crew material. I'm already eager to see what you guys will come up with next year. :D

Quote from: AbsintheClock;1919322If your movie is not on the list, and you would like it to be, just post the link here, and I'll make sure it gets on. Congratulations to our winners.

Believe it or not, Serfin Burd is not in the Clock Day 2012 Collection Page, if that's what you meant by "the list". If you're able to arrange it, I'll be super grateful.

If not, I still get 10 bucks worth of free Newgrounds stuff. Hooray for Absinthe and all those who clocked on Clock Day! :3

I used the whole alphabet for this:

There's also a 5 and the infamous Ã,Â¥ symbol somewhere. Can you spot them?
#31
Oh! My bad. Well still, if he means he'll be gone from tuesday until thurdsay this upcoming week, he'll be back before his turn comes up, depending on how long it takes for Astro, ZL, then Inkwell to do their parts, so there probably won't be a need to do any parts swapping.
#32
You already got a part, Poly. Besides, by the time Inkwell does his part, Boosh's little vacation will be over already.

It's perfect.
#34
I'll add you to the reserve list. If someone drops out, you have a chance to inherit his spot. I'll let you know right away if it happens.
#35
Quote from: clockradioclock;1918149you're too kind, but I can't! I wasn't interested in participating, I was just using my editing powers to keep people informed itt because I love you all. I'm happy to compile it when the time comes {{}}

I'm pretty much done with the action script for the menu interface. All I need to do now is to spruce it up with pretty graphics, but I'll wait until a few parts are done, to see if I can figure out a theme to work on. Once that's complete, I'll send it to you so you can easily insert the parts in their respective slots.
#36
Quote from: PatriotClocki saw in the thread he offered it to Durian. thats fine with me, ill hold onto my spot as #1 reserve, from my experience ill end up with a spot.

PatriotClock has spoken. Durian inherits part 11, and Patriot returns to the reserve. Also, if any of you know anyone else who'd be interested to join the collab as reserve contributors, feel free to let them know about it.

Quote from: Zombie Lincoln;1918103the final rounders are really responsible for keeping any bit of sense in the plot

Technically, yes, in the end, we're the one who link the parts together, so we can't create anything permanent. But having no impact means we have full range for insane crap that can be contained in a single part. There's bazillion of ways to take context A to context B, so why stick to the boring logical way all the time?

Quote from: pop-tart;1918104Since I've done every PTF so far... if you want to give my part to Durian, I'm cool with it.

If I get to make the credits. :)

Trade your part for the credits? No problem. I can fix that. PatriotClock has priority, though, but if he agrees to forfeit his turn to DurianClock, we'll surely be able to arrange something.

Quote from: AbsintheClock;1918112Right, so when do we start?

I gave the starting signal to AstronautClock and ZombieLincoln yesterday. They are currently at work on their parts.
#38
I'm going to be more lenient with time limits, since many people will be able to work on their parts at the same time. After we got it started, starting from Inkwell, whenever someone finishes a part, two people will be able to start, regardless of how everyone else in the previous round is doing. If a time limit proves to be necessary, I'll see how long it takes for Astronaut and ZombieLincoln to do the bookends, then determine one from that.
#39
Basically, the movie clips will be on only one single frame of the collab's main timeline. If you don't make the movie clips ask Flash to stop going through the frames, it will just play the first frame of every part in quick succession. So the action acript of each part says "Hey Flash, stop playing, so I can show my shit. You can continue playing after I'm done, k?"

Still working on the bottom screen navigator thing now. Now it gets out of the way when you press a button, tells you whose part is currently playing, and whose part you're pointing at when you make a selection.

See for yourselves

Great news. Thanks you, sir Zombie. The Clock Crew shall be eternally grateful for your contribution.
