I was tempted to put this in the philosophy forum just because of the 'jungle gym' joke
..In fact, I'm not entirely convinced it belongs here, but I didn't want it in general because I'm going to post things in this every once in a while and it'd eat up front page space.

I cannot run at all. I Genuinely cannot run around the block.
Well hey, me neither. AT LEAST I COULDN'T TWO WEEKS AGO. There's this thing for losers like us called Couch Potato to 5k. Astoundingly, it's actually working for me so far and I started on less than the minimum because I couldn't keep up with that. You can see a good idea of what the CPt5k plan is if you scroll down a bit on this page, looking for a calendar. I took a screenshot of this in case that page ever changes (but there are tons of sites with a similar calendar, just Google that phrase.)

I can do like one push-up.
Dork. ...Ok, I could do one push-up two weeks ago, then I sort of used that running plan as inspiration to make my own push-ups schedule and I can do like ...12 now. Not impressive, I know, but that is over 1000% improvement.
INCIDENTALLY, there is a much better plan similar to CPt5k out there already. I found it on this site which claims its plan will take you from zilch-ish to 100 pushups in seven weeks. It also tries to sell you its iPhone app and shove some other stuff down your throat, but all the information IS there and freely available. I can't attest to this since I'll be starting it later this week, but it seems pretty kosher (and faster than what I was doing) and says it'll only take thirty minutes a week (as opposed to per day like that running regime).

So yeah, I'll be doing these and a similar thingy for sit-ups starting now. Just decided to start a thread in case there was need for a CLOCK CREW FITNESS LEAGUE formed entirely of people in as bad of shape as myself who no longer wish to be in such bad shape.

And I saved that hundred pushups site with wget in case they decide to stop giving that plan away for free.

So yeah. Five minutes of stretching, ten minutes doing POOSH-UP TRAINING FOR WIMPS, then 20 doing CPt5k runs = 35 minutes a day, three days per week. The funny thing is, that's kind of a lot among the wide world of lazy people fitness. I hope I can commit.

Quote from: PezDispenserclock;1948598Abba, I might not smoke weed, but I experiancing it being hit with a crowbar on a modded TTT server. Flashing colours, screen flipped, screen flying. Yup, I know how it\'s like.
