Seriously. It's one of the most unwieldy and little-known tools in computer art. Basically you have to be a non-Flash vector artist to be in any group of people who have used it extensively, because not only do most people not ever use Flash's pen tool, but Flash's pen tool is honestly kind of crap, anyway. Or maybe it isn't and there's a way to make a straight line following a curved line quickly that I don't know about.
