I've been watching the two shows, and does anyone else notice quite a few similarities? Magical powers and gods of death not taken into consideration, of course.
  • The main character is a killer that works for the cops.
  • He only kills those who, in his eyes, deserve death.
  • A member of the family works in the police with him.
  • He tries to act like a normal person on the outside, but is really unfeeling on the inside.
  • There is one person that constantly doubts who he says he is.
  • There is more than one person who is like him, and knows his secrets.

.

Also, if you analyse it, some of them are following basic plot and script structure. They just happen to follow them in a similar way

speaking of which what is your avvy from, dennou coil, if so i was gonna get that but i deleted what i had to make room for more important things like 1966 batman.

also the tone of the two shows are pretty different, death note is more of a head to head battle of the wits where dexter is more dexter vs. himself.

Marlin Clock

I'd say the ice truck killer thing was like that.

Why do his arms look so disproportionate to his body?

That's just the way it's drawn.
