How might I stop an event sound several scenes after it has started?  I'm having it play over 7 scenes, and the 8th scene I have a stopallsounds(); on the first frame, which kills the audio for the rest of the movie.

Instead of using stopallsounds(), add the sound you want stopped to a frame, but from the Event/Start/Stop/Stream drop-box, choose "Stop."

Or maybe there's a scriptier way to do it. I don't know.
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

Ok well I asked around and you pretty much got it, except you left out that I had to start the sound on "Start", which Burton Clock/Shark Lock helped me out on.

Thanks anyway :3

Thread over.

Actually, I set my sound to start as a regular Event and it worked for me... oh well, whatever works. :D
