I'm trying to extract audio from youtube movies with vixy, but it always says "Connecting to server" and never actually connects, and when it actually does i only get a looped version of the first 24 senconds of the audio.

Halp :(

Sorry, I've never used vixy. Try restarting the computer

Use DVDVideoSoft. It can do all sorts of shit. Can turn Youtube to MP3, MP4; a flash video to WMP and I think vice versa. And a whole mess of other stuff.

GreyClock

Use the downloadable beta version (if they still have it) it's fast as hell.

There's plenty of alternatives online, I had one bookmarked but it seems to have gone. Really you just need to google what you want converted (youtube to mp3, etc.) and look for the ones that do it online

This this this this this. I cannot emphasize enough how well that works.

Seriously why even bother such a terribly eloborate way, there's way to record your computer's sound output with even the default audio recorder on windows, I think. It's sometimes labeled as "record output" or as "stereo mix out".

Thank you. Audacity has more features and stuff so you can fix any volume issues and whatnot, but that works just as well.
