What the fuck is up with Gears of War.

I got gears of war the other day, and having finally feed up space on my computer for the 10gb game, I had to go through all kinds of bullshit such as installing new Nvidia drivers, Service Pack updates, processor bullshit, and some Microsoft game faggotry.


Now, whenever I try to start the game I get a "To play gears of war, please double-click startup.exe" message. Yet, whenever I do click said program file, it gives me the same message. Even downing cracked versions of the .exe does nothing. Someone clear this up for me, please?


Oh wait shit does this go into the computer help section? If it does move it and whatever.

Ehh, I have no problems with it on my XP.

Are you trying to run the startup.exe or are you using the disc's autorun? Try using the autorun if you haven't. Otherwise, there should be a troubleshooting page for it.
