Gameboy Advanced help :(

I bought FF1 and FF2 for the GBA today, but I can't save my game...it said "Save failed" when I try to save it.

Is it because I can only save the game in a particular place like a save point because I don't see any save points and they don't offer and option to save my game in the Inn.

Help...

isnt there a shiny spot somewhere around the inn? You usually save in those.

Yes, the one where you can select whether you want to play FF1 or FF2 or open the bestiary when you start the game.

Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls, right? You're supposed to be able to save anywhere, so either your GBA or your cartridge is busted.
